AmigaSystem where did you find the newest AmiStart version, did the author release it somewhere else from AmiKit?

Hi Retrofan,

what should that mean? Don't you have access to the resources of AmiKit anymore. I thought Jan is your best friend and he would support AKReal, too.

Oh yes, PeterK, I'm the first to have access to all of the updates there. In fact I'm preparing an AKReal update with a couple of his improvements, but I'll have to ask for his permission of course.

Also remember that AmiKitX isn't for free and it has taken years to develope.

Are you sure this is the new version? What did you see different?

The thing is that if it hasn't been released anywhere else, I just believe you should at least tell where did you take it from. That's what I believe (sorry my english) is called fair use.

In fact I love this new AmiStart version and hope I'll be allowed to include in my next update.

If you aren't using it as I thought (just because you are using the AmiKitX icons for it) of course you don't have to, I was just asking.

Sorry if I can seem rude talking about permissions, it's just that I've also have to search for them if you can understand me, that's why I was asking.

Yes, it seems so. Sorry I only saw the new icons and later the PeterK's screenshot. I just thought the new version had been publicly released.

AmigaSystem I'm not anyone to tell you if you can use whatever from that new distro, I don't have that kind of permission for that. For me, of course you can use whatever from AKReal (my case) as long as you tell about that.

I still have an old pre-release of AmiKit X from the early 2016. At that time I was still beta testing for AmiKit and didn't know that it should become a commercial product later. But I won't spread it. I will probably delete it one day. Jan also offered me the final version, but "No thanks!".

Remove the two icons similar to Amikit

Did anybody already ask the author, Darius Brewka, for releasing it to the public. I won't do it, since I have no demand for such a program.

Same question for AfA_OS 4.8 and some other updates. (Fragen kostet nichts! = Asking is for free, doesn't mean that it's good for nothing.)

I also dont use them. But they should not be held hostages so that other Amiga users can benefit from them. It is a pitty we are so few, and still there are some profiteers among us.

I sent them both an email.

Yes, it's identical.
Sorry for my poor English, but I thought "update 46.4.454 has been included" would let you understand that nothing has changed since the previous update.

Conclusion:
Never think that you can think what somebody thinks what you think when you say something!

My English is made in Google Translator
I did notice this why anyone can think whether it's an old release, or say the news had already been done.

Still a Question Peter, which option should be used to see correctly the MagicWB icons on the RTG screen, Like this my screenshot of OS3.9 MagicWB

Thanks anyway for the work you do

Hi AMIGASYSTEM,

on your screenshot all MWB colors are looking correct. So what is your problem?

On WB 3.9 you would usually enable the MWB colors 4-7 in Prefs/Workbench and also set the the correct colors at the end of the palette (pen 252-255) with the MWB tool "ClickForColors", then call Prefs/Palette and save these colors.

This may not work under AfA_OS, at least not in AmiKit.

If it doesn't work you could try to use FullPalette. Copy the FullPalette.prefs into ENVARC:Sys an call FPPrefs after IPrefs. But this may have sideeffects to your GUI colors?
