I prefer "B", the colors foreground and background fit together better.
Great work. |

I prefer the amalgamated version with the blue background. The grey version looks like the palette had been limited to me but I would be happy to accept dealer’s choice as your work on this is amazing and appreciated!

I also prefer the blue background, it helps that everything isnt all grey.

I just played them both and whilst I still prefer the blue background there's not a lot in it. They both look really good!

I like both of them, probably like the blue a little bit better but there's not much in it. Neat to see that most of this level runs @50FPS in WinUAE/A1200 'cycle exact' too

I released this build a little early to show the blue/grey versions, but there are still a few things to do including a shiny new hardware sprite to use thanks to Ross, so the couple of sections that drop frames (usually the large turning enemies combined with the powerline weapon) will hopefully improve further. |

Seems like the grey version has the edge so I'll probably stick with that.
I did have one more thought, I could use the grey version but have the red center section more like the original with the glowing lines. It's very static at the moment. |

Hi,
well, to me the grey version looks like everything is in "one piece", I mean it all blends in seamlessly. The blue version of course is faithful to the roots. So, although being "very 80s" (even if from the 90s ), it's a loving detail. If technically possible, I'd make it an easter egg, switching to the Amiga colours and back by pressing one of the Amiga Keys - reminds me a bit of Monkey Island SE. 8) CU, padrino |

I would stick to the original graphics for now, to preserve the complete, intended look of the VGA Version.
Maybe you can add some in-game option once the game is done in the future to play in an mixed AMIGA graphics mode? (as padrino also stated above ;-) ) |

Or even better, an easter egg like the T3 golden suite! |

Thanks AMike, it seems almost split down the middle when you include the feedback from here and A1k.
Ideally as others have suggested, I could make it part of the option that restores the Amiga player sprite, so you essentially have MS-DOS mode and Amiga/DOS hybrid mode. That's what I'll aim for... |
