I think it was named 'grolet' seeing as Yves Grolet did both games, did it ever have an 'official' name other than the SPS name? |

Abaddon has now added support for:
Dragon's Lair II & III (ReadySoft / RL DOS) Guy Spy (ReadySoft / RL DOS) Space Ace I & II (ReadySoft / RL DOS) World Championship Boxing Manager (Goliath Games or John Jones-Steele MFM) Wrath of the Demon (ReadySoft / RL DOS) No small feat adding the ReadySoft format I would guess |

Add support for Dragon's Lair II & III, Space Ace I & II, Guy Spy, Wrath of the Demon, and World Championship Boxing Manager. Renamed Capone protecton to actionware as it is used by POW as well Last edited by acd2001; 18 June 2022 at 19:20. |

Let's see how long until the original Dragon's Lair format is supported.

Abaddon is looking at the original Dragon's Lair as it uses a different loader to the others, so we'll just have to wait on that one! He was looking at Wrath of the Demon initially and when that one was completed found Space Ace was similar so that's how all the others were supported! Only Escape from Singe's Castle was ever released as plain AmigaDOS disks!!

I could probably get the source code from Randy Linden for the disk format for Dragons Lair, but the easiest way would be for Abaddon to look at the hard drive installer on Singes Castle that can image all the Dragons Lair disks as it joins both games together.

I vaguely remember someone mentioning that the Dragon's Lair format was difficult was due to the fact that it was designed for a obscure hard drive brand that very few people had.

I'm sure with a little effort I can figure out what the blitter data decoding routines for the game are doing. It has 3 blitter calls and it looks like the 3rd one is just copying the data to another location. Not a fan of the Space Ace and Dragon's Lair games, just figured I test the games with the Wrath of the Demon decoder. Small tweak and the decoder worked for 6 games. |
