It would be interesting to share your thoughts on this game as to why you enjoy it?

That's actually a really good question. I don't really know why to be totally honest.

Perhaps because it's a bit of a time capsule now from late 80s/ early 90s in the United Kingdom, which I find interesting as it's so different to what I experienced in the same time period here in Australia. I remember seeing on the news and reading about the troubles with the IRA for example, but I find this gives an interesting perspective.

Perhaps it's the interactive novel kind of approach it takes, as an avid reader I appreciate the written descriptions and seeing what will happen if I choose to infiltrate an organisation, rather then, or as well as, spreading disinformation about the organisation.

Perhaps it's got something to do with the fact that you never feel rushed. It doesn't matter how long you think about what you're going to do next. I've never been good at twitch reaction type games, and this is one I can play while I'm doing something else, and just walk away from and come back to any time I want, not even needing to pause the game.

Perhaps it's the level of distance it gives you, kind of a distancing from the actual events. I mean, you can order to make someone disappear, but you're not the one that does it, you're just the one who orders it be done.

And perhaps I just can't put it into words, which seems to be the most accurate response. It kind of reminds me of the game "Papers, please", if that's any help?

TNX for the link #19

As about Zerosphere...

Over at the poly.play store, you can purchase a boxed version on disk or CD ROM edition 2018 or download version 2015 from here:
http://heckmeck.de/demoscene/zerosphere/

2018 edition feature updated and completely new levels, CD³² support, new enemies, hiscore saving, and much more!

Damien: plz, add screens and configuration for Zerosphere. For those that don't want to buy v2018 yet, but want to check v2015 first

Ooops, silly me... adjusted configuration file attached.

Just extract into C:\WinUAE\Configurations

No worries on fixing this one though (assuming of course it's not just due to a bad crack), at least not for me- I was just taking a look and would actually rather play the version I bought for PC.
You mean this screen:

This is usually a screen that crackers add to signify changing disks.

I tested the game without using the trainer and lost all my lives. Indeed you then get a similar screen and have no choice but to reset:

Guess I'll try the other trained set instead i.e. "[cr Bencor Brothers][t +1 Bencor Brothers]"

...I'm not going to add jotd's modification to my collection.

As mentioned here, I don't add in CD32 / CDTV games.

Personally, if I want the arcade music etc. I'll just play via MAME

Anyway, I did create a quick package for malko as he begged me... grab it from The Zone! before it disappears.

Yup, bad crack

I've now replaced with the "[cr Bencor Brothers][t +1 Bencor Brothers]" set...

This definitely works 100% as I used the cheat to verify and watched the complete game. Also tested loosing all lives and the game restarts successfully

Finally, added in a "SpaceAce_Cheats.txt" file

...so, please just do the following:
  • Delete the <gamedir> "C:\WinUAE\Games\Space Ace".
  • Download and extract the attached into C:\WinUAE.

Bah, today I had the chance to recheck everything in Update Pack #19 (which I usually do)...

Made two small mistakes with the following configuration files:

Syndicate.uae:
Not a big one, but for some reason I forgot to add all disks into the Diskswapper.

The Legend of the Elves [AGA].uae:
In my testing I had used 720x576 but for some reason left this out of the final configuration file...

Sorry guys, download and extract the following into "C:\WinUAE\Configurations" to rectify.

Sigh... two more corrections to my collection
  • Resident Evil [AGA] should be named Amiga Resident Evil [AGA].
  • Robocop 4 should be named RoboCop 4.
So please delete the following;
C:\WinUAE\Configurations:
... Resident Evil [AGA] [unreleased] [demo].uae
... Robocop 4.uae

C:\WinUAE\Games:
... Resident Evil AGA
... RoboCop 4
Finally, download and extract the attached into "C:\WinUAE"...

Works great, thanks. At first I balked at the "Insert disk 1" screen, but then I realized by looking at the disk names and what you had in the drives already that it wanted disk *2* since the cracked disk 1 was just labeled "boot" and disk 2 was labeled "1". Erg- reading that back it sounds convoluted- in short, I figured out "replace the disk in DF0: with disk 2 of 5".

Exactly

Due to the way in which I've loaded disks into drives, when you see this prompt then all you have to do is insert "(Disk 2 of 5)(1)" into DFO... no more disk changes required throughout the entire game

The quickest way to achieve this is to just press <End> + <2> to insert the requested disk from the Diskswapper slots.

Edit: actually thinking about this some more... usually with games like this i.e. that have (Disk 1 of 5)(Boot), (Disk 2 of 5)(1), (Disk 3 of 5)(2); I set the following in Diskswapper so it's logical:

Will have to make the change

Edit2: done so now you just press <End> + <1> to insert "Disk 1"... extract the attached into "C:\WinUAE\Configurations"...

Ah, I had forgotten how the disk swapper worked- was meaning to look into it and here you are with the hotkey (END + disk number), thanks. Also wanted to add to the last statement that having to swap disks seemed even more odd due to the text on the crack screen mentioning not having to swap disks.
