I'm having an issue booting into PAL at startup with OS3.2.1 on my NTSC Amiga 1200? I'm assuming it's because I have 3.2 roms installed and system is double booting but not sure. Never had any issue booting into PAL with OS3.2.

It regards customization of the wb-menu. For context, I have a bunch of arexx-scripts that I find quite handy. I used them in 3.9 already from the T.H.E package. They still work, although I have moved them into the MenuTools script so the "Tools" menu is only updated from one place to keep things tidy. However, it is the tools menu that is my "gripe". I'd really like the option to add things to the menues left of "Tools", like the new "Open volume" under workbench or "Eject medium" under icons. For example, one of the scripts closes all currently open drawers. I'd like to be able to have that under the "Windows" heading. Another one is "Make real icons" for files that lack the .info file. That one I'd like to have under icons (and preferably only when icon-less file(s) is/are selected). Just to get add-on options in more logical places. |

I love UnArc and the only thing that's missing from the version with 3.9 is the open output drawer button that's in the 4.x version. It's the only thing I bothered bringing over into the 3.2 world.

This is what I have done (plus AmiDock), but I would love something more up to date and even more integrated into the system from ground up by the team (if they can spare the time). |

Well i got it and guess what?
The lha from xad is 2-3 Times slower Than lha from aminet. So I prefer using lha command in that case Last edited by mateusz_s; 11 February 2022 at 17:28. |

XAD client update for 68K
BTW about XAD 68K... a LHA update would be great since last 68K version is very old and supports only old LHA compression method, failing with many archives from Aminet for example...
Nobody updated 68K version yet, stuck to 12.x, but there's an AROS and OS4 xadmaster 16.x perfectly working with newer LHA archives... Someone interested? XAD is also used by handy GUI decrunch tools like Voodoo-X and Unarc. Discussed this here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=99207 Last edited by hexaae; 12 February 2022 at 10:58. |

OS 3.2 MenuTools 47.1
Hello everyone,
I've noticed a bug with this Arexx script. I'll admit I don't know ARexx very well. I use ToolManager for menus to games and such. Since MenuTools is part of OS 3.2, I figured I'd give a go. If there's a space in the path, like with Directory Opus, it won't load/run. Only WBLoad will run and give an error. If I use "-" or "_" to replace the space (or something else), voila! I'm not going to change a lot of my software around to accommodate for spaces in paths. ;-) It's a cool idea. Maybe there's a typo in the structure I'm following? Appreciate any help. Code:
/* $VER: MenuTools 47.1 (12.07.2020) */ OPTIONS RESULTS ADDRESS WORKBENCH /* By editing the following lines of this ARexx script you can easily add and configure Menus to quickly launch games or any other programs you may want. */ MENU ADD NAME MenuSeparator1 TITLE '"~"' CMD "" MENU ADD NAME MenuHelp TITLE '"Help"' CMD "'address command ''Help'''" MENU ADD NAME MenuSeparator2 TITLE '"~"' CMD "" MENU ADD NAME MenuDirectoryOpus590 TITLE '"DOpus 5.90"' SHORTCUT 'F3' CMD "'address command ''C:WBLoad SYS:Opus 5.90/DirectoryOpus'''" MENU ADD NAME MenuAmigaAMP TITLE '"AmigaAMP 2.25"' SHORTCUT 'F3' CMD "'address command ''C:WBLoad Programs:Music/AmigaAMP_3.25/AmigaAMP'''" MENU ADD NAME MenuTextEdit TITLE '"TextEdit"' SHORTCUT 'F4' CMD "'address command ''C:WBLoad SYS:Tools/TextEdit'''" EXIT ---------------------------------------------------------------------- How to modify and add new menus =============================== The following is a more or less detailed explanation for those of you that feel confident enough to add menus and menu-items. One of the biggest advantages of this method is that unlike many programs, this is an AmigaOS friendly implementation that does not require external programs and can even work on plain 68000 Amigas. The limitations are that you cannot modify "Workbench", "Windows", and "Icons" menus in any way. But you can add menu items to the "Tools" menu, and add other new Menus and submenu items. Be careful to always respect the quotes and format. The only statement that can be omitted is the HOTKEY one. The MenuTools syntax for each entry will be explained in the following example: REFERENCE NOTE MENU ITEM NAME HOTKEY SHELL COMMANDLINE | | | | +-------------+ +------------+ +----------+ +--------------------------------+ MENU ADD NAME MenuMultiView TITLE '"MultiView"' SHORTCUT 'W' CMD "'address command ''C:WBLoad SYS:Utilities/MultiView'''" REFERENCE NOTE This is a single word whose only purpose is to remind you what the menu item does. It has no real functionality beyond that. MENU ITEM NAME This is the name that will be displayed in the Tools menu. You can add new menus and submenu items by using the backwards slash bar ( for e.g.: \Menu-Name\Menu-Item\Submenu-item ). HOTKEY This is an optional statement that points to a shortcut that you can set in which the [Amiga] key and another character that you are allowed to define is always involved. Be careful when adding a shortcut to verify that it is not being used by AmigaOS or any other running programs or you may end up causing conflicts between them. SHELL COMMANDLINE This is the action you wish to be executed. It must be a Shell command, an ARexx script, a Shell script or it can even be a Workbench program if you are smart enough to use the WBLoad command. |

I didn’t knew that before someone posted it on Twitter but AmigaOS doesn’t have any functions for sprites collisions detection is it planned?
