i‘m gonna make a complete fresh install later today. i have a lot of patches on my system and old drivers for hardware which got removed in the process. the problem could be anywhere. so i’m sorry for not being able to be more specific. system crashes while browsing in ibrowse, running ppc-gears (at the 2nd or 3rd try), playing wipeout. so i really can’t tell.
i am using the pci.library v13 and the sonnet drivers from aminet. funny thing is, there’s no env:sonnet config Should i probably try v12 of pci lib? is that one more stable? first of all i‘ll make a fresh install and report again. thank you! |

On another note: Voxelspace has been running for an hour now on my A1200 with a Sonnet installed. Still some ways to go, but it keeps on looking promising. I hope to hear from Elbox soon regarding their address range fix.
When MMU=yes the Zorro2 windows slides automatically (when in user mode). However, this is setup for $80000000-$A0000000. All kinds of weird stuff happens with WarpOS programs with 'negative' addresses. I asked them to also define a window in unused space ($10000000) on the A1200. They are working on it. |

Hedeon: if you do get powerpc.library working with the 1200TX, you deserve a medal!

can somebody tell me how to get WarpDatatypes running? The installer complains that my WarpUp version is too old.
I haven’t installed any of the WarpOS stuff yet. |

Put the warp.library in LIBS: from the original WarpUp archive and remove it again after installation of WarpDT. The installer of WarpDT physically tests for LIBS:warp.library and LIBS: powerpc.library.
Or just install for 060 and copy the WarpOS datatypes over it. Installing the datatypes will result in that the Sonnet needs to be started during your startup-sequence. See Wiki. I only recommend this when your system is stable. |

pci.library 13.1 is now availkable from Elbox. Is there a reason non Sonnet/Raprtue users should upgrade or not?

Always great to read your reviews! I haven't got time to test quake 3 myself since alpha 4 I think, but I'm amazed how far it has progressed, wow. Thanks Cowcat!! Some magazine attention would be cool on this.
