Which ADF works with it?
mcgeezer's downloads folder/ "Rygar_Final_2ButtonFix.adf" didn't work for me. Isn't that the latest version? Also, the starter icon has "PreloadSize=913271" in its tool types. Shouldn't this be changed? |

I don"t know which "final" it is...
The link mcgeezer shared: http://109.228.4.199/ed0f24a151d67d5...f8306859f2.adf Still works. But I don't know if there was another version released |

Both the ADF's at the Rygar release (http://109.228.4.199/rygar/) page are exactly the same and the latest version I have released.
Code:
205ec5d7ee297cc373095c747abb1342 rygar_aga_final.adf 205ec5d7ee297cc373095c747abb1342 Rygar_Final_2ButtonFix.adf |

It's hard to keep track of which adf contains what It'd help a lot with testing too, people can say what version they used etc. |

To labour the point... I'll fix the bugs after I have enough to fix that warrants a fresh release. I'm sorry but while I appreciate jotd patching the bugs via WHDload I can't keep releasing versions of the game and it's not my responsibility to track what is going on in the WHDload slaves. I'm not being arsey about it, I'm just saying time needs to pass before I improve the game... if you can't wait then use the slaves... |

"it doesn't work" isn't a clear bug report BTW
That's a special situation where McGeezer is fixing the bugs real time and I'm trying to follow with the whdload slave. I usually work with well-known versions released 25+ years ago. The current version is good enough, and if McGeezer fixes all reported bugs (or the ones he chooses to) and decides to update, I'll follow. Not a big deal, and I also prefer not to support 500 versions. Just one from time to time. @mcgeezer maybe refer the link of the whdload page instead. The linked whdload slave linked here http://109.228.4.199/rygar/RygarHD.lha is outdated now. Note that I have zoned a CD32 version using CD32load. Didn't test on real hardware, but I'm pretty confident as CD32load uses to work on real hw Version should work on unexpanded machine. Hold RED for trainer. Just thought I'd give the latest version a go and perhaps gather any hiccups for the bug thread. WHDLoad is my only option really atm, HDD install goes out of mem, iso has issues and no floppy drive to use adf's. I can wait, no rushing intended. |

I played the game yesterday with a friend on my 1200, and damn, is it hard.
My friend who isn't used to old arcade games died three times in like 10 seconds, and then it was over. |

as mentionned in this thread ( https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php...12#post1351812 ), if enough votes for it, Rygar may be played in next PD round in February.
Who knows ... so keep training |

So no need for floppy, fastmem or even CD32. Vanilla A1200 with IDE FFS HDD is enough. |

I'd like to play mcgeezer's latest release that has the 2nd button fix + better joypad response, on a real CD32. Best would be WHDLoad otherwise I'd have to burn another CD. I also don't have a spare CF atm so I can't make use of the vanilla edition. Can you please make a WHDLoad of the latest "Rygar_Final_2ButtonFix.adf" release? I also looked at rygar.exe sizes: Code:
Amigajay's ISO (first "final" release) 71852 First WHDLoad version 190920 Vanilla 1200 190920 ADF with hash-like name 71788 Current Rygar_Final_2ButtonFix.adf on mcgeezer's site 71940 "Rygar CD32load.iso" 190920 edit: I *think* Amigajay's ISO (first "final" release) does not have the 2nd button fix but I could be mistaken. Anyways, it's very intermittent, not really playable. Last edited by wairnair; 30 October 2019 at 17:50. |

you're not using the installer that's why the sizes are different. Use xfddecrunch on the executable to expand it. You can't just copy floppy into "data", you HAVE to use the install script for a reason.
I'm not supporting another version (if really different) until another big update is done. Too much work. |

Appreciate the pause & quit option, also the trainer |
