And that was an easy one!

You got all the tough ones though so don't feel too bad.

I looked at the King's Quest fan remakes specifically in reference to #13 and somehow didn't come up with the answer! I guess that's yet another reason to always put something in, never leave an answer blank.

Other than that, pretty happy. Pipped Havie on entry time I suppose. I'm sure you'll be back above me next round though Havie.

Well done everyone, and thanks once again Mr Horizon. Looking forward to round 3.

That one was tricky, it was again the cursor that made it a sure thing for me. It looks like King's Quest 6 but isn't, so then what is it

April Quiz - Super Mario

Since last week the new Super Mario Bros movie is out, how about we do a promo round to celebrate the dear plumber? We've already had Sega, Atari or Commodore as a theme.... and here's the (sort-of) Nintendo puzzle at last.

I was delayed over the Easter holidays, but I hope to be able to get this round online just before the 10th of April is over.

To avoid entries like "25x Super Mario", this time a clear announcement: You have to give the exact game! °_°

Only if at least 20% of all players make the same mistake in an answer you'll still score. So if 20 out of 100 people specify just "Super Mario Pottery Champion" or the famous third game instead of the correct answer "Super Mario Pottery Champion 2 redux", you might get points for that. Don't rely on it!

Deadline is Sunday the 30th of April, enter via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/.

Here's the quiz, have fun

EDIT: If you still see the SoundFX-Quiz when clicking the link, flush your cache, or use a different browser or an incognito window, or just go via the "click to join" button.

Looks simple at first ...

Good news - I was just playing number 5!

Bad news - had to take Little Havie to see the Mario film...!!!

Why bad news? Is the movie not good then?

Even if it is not that great, I find that such movies are more enjoyable in the cinema because the excitement of kids really infects you. I had the same with Sonic. Pretty below average movie but the kid sitting next to me was nearly passing out with excitement and that made me enjoy it as well.

At 16, he was trying to convince me that he was the target demographic but we were surrounded by much younger children. To be fair, we both enjoyed it (him more so that me) and it was packed with Easter eggs (and I'm not a huge Mario person like Little Havie). And if you go, stay right to the end of the credits - we were the only ones left and this was a bit of a gasp moment...

I think I have 10.

The last and pre-last row made me completely bamboozled.

I try to make the lower half harder, so it makes sense.

If you could pick a video game franchise (or character) where you'd be good at recognising every entry, what would you pick?

First clues are coming later today!

April Quiz - Clues #1

Just about 40 people are already playing, so let's a go, quiz time! A few voices would have liked a bigger focus on the 90s, but eleven games in this round were released between 1983 and 2000... okay, but admittedly the remaining fourteen came out in 2001 & later. Hopefully it will make life easier for the younger ones among you

Here are the clues:

1) Title 15 is an "educational" game and the only one in this round with an official PC release.
2) The following consoles (Game Boy, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Switch) each have three games in this quiz.
3) Number 6 is a puzzle game for the N64.
4) Each row shows five different systems, for example the top row is Wii, Switch, Gamecube, N64 and Game Boy at the end. So since #6 is an N64 game, there can't be any other N64 titles in the second row.

And guys, AGAIN: you have to give the exact name of the game this time, the series probably won't do! °_°

Deadline is Sunday the 30th of April, enter via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/

Here's the quiz again, let's go https://i.imgur.com/C6fQpQI.png

I was going to say that these clues weren't helpful but the one about no repeated system was...thanks for that (and can I add - very sneaky indeed!)

One debate the Havies are having is if the game comes from a remake collection, do you need the name of the collection or the name of the game?
