A lot has happened since the last video of stage 32.
The score panel has been added, and some of the scoring system implemented. The lives and rolls gfx are also implemented. Colours are not identical to the arcade for various reasons. All of this was done using hardware sprites. A simple stage restart is implemented. Still need to figure out where the arcade respawns the player, when player dies. The Nakajima big plane now fires bullets at the player. There is now an engine start sfx at takeoff thanks to Nightshift. All the samples have been reduced in size to save mem. I tested out the Ayako plane (boss), as shown in the picture above. It is composed of three bobs, and runs fine within a single frame. There are a few more new features, which we'll leave as a surprise for the next video. |

Just before completing the side planes code, I got ill (not Corona), and had to catch up at work after getting back. Back to development now, and here is a progress video of the side planes. The spear head formation is done, spawns the correct colour pow, and sideplanes when collected. Landing and takeoff of side planes are also completed (not in the video).
