Mind. Blown.
Well most of it didn't... The game basically ran off the laserdisc player, the Amiga did very little.

You need to remap keys to ALG input events. ALG ROMs do not use keyboard.

key config looks ok - while comparing with my config.
were you choosing the correct extended rom for Gallager? yours listed as:
kickstart_ext_rom_file=G:\WinUAE\Roms\MD_ROM.BIN
looks like Mad Dog - choose the correct rom from the drop down menu (extended rom):
American Laser Games Gallagher's Gallery v2.1 (256k)
--> get alg.zip from the zone and extract in your kickstart/rom folder -> rescan ROMs in Winuae's Path config.

#1) your video above - you are in the wrong genlock mode, it seems - choose:
Chipset -> [x] Genlock connected -> American Laser Games
together with your Gallagher video file.
yours looks like as you were choosing "Video file" <--- this is for standard genlocking only,
or using this as a background movie player

in ALG mode the video will start playing only after the Game starts itself - maybe 15 second delay after reboot.
the video above still shows the Kickstart Logo, so you have the wrong extended rom -> the game did not start.

the freeze is due to the short lenght of the video, maybe 5% missing.

goto Winuae's config -> Input and test your config (little Test button).
when you now push F1 - F4 it should jump to the ALG events
push F12 to exit the test mode.

if not, choose another keyboard: (f12) Input -> Configuration #1 -> keyboard name
and retry remaping.

When I worked in Atlanta in the early 1990's, a "Dave and Busters" opened, which is like an adult arcade here in the US.

They had Mad Dog McCree, at least one of the other games from that series, and several of the Virtual Reality (Virtuality?) pods. They used to occasionally bring the A500 boards in for repairs to us, and at least once or twice asked us to look at the A3000's that ran the Virtuality pods.

It's amazing how close the modern "VR" glasses are to these old ones from 25 years ago. It seems to be the very same idea, of course different technology.

They also had a Amiga 2000 that ran AmigaVision. This hooked to a video distrubution box that broadcast throughout the place.

Oh yeah, and a lot of the digital signage at the time ran on C128D's. I had stacks of those. I wonder where they all went.

Thanks emufan, I understood that ROM were "MD_ROM.BIN" (blame google translator ), with "alg_gg_21_rom1.bin" "alg_gg_21_rom2.bin" everything works fine.

good news, but do not choose those rom files, just choose the correct entry from
the drop down menu - at least if you are using the roms from alg.zip

but unknown format, cannot play or convert.

There's a full LD footage of Platoon on Youtube:

Perhaps it could get the same treatment as Gallaghers Gallery?
