no i dont have modded it ... i dont know something goes wrong.
im try to download again from github

Here no performance issue with Fs-uae in 68k mode everything look like run like usual .

and look like with your advance something start mooving

Im using the dev 20 for all the great think it use a second g5 for emulate the PPC will means one cpu is been used for only emulate the ppc

Difficult to say, I have too little information. But you can try the attached configure script instead (written in a slightly different way).

yes it make the configure actions and right now im building it... look like everything is going fluid without warning .
i just change the mak line like you suggested before "LINKPROG = $(or $(CXX),$(CC)) -bundle"

will report soon as possible

edit :P is need i swap something in configure like i did in past :P

Snake yesterday i had been prepared this pack for you before your post :P
take the executable from the fspackage app and run from the tty for check if there are some dylib not present on your machine . I use your original packaging for have runnable from the icon but for sure the dynlib and frameworks will need to be present in your system libs and framework.

cant upload it on the Zone because at work. Plus it is your mantainment and you have to upgrade fsuae, im only working on it just because need to make it run first on MacOsx in ppc side after on linuxPPC (next step will be kvm).
was really courious to see how much can andle the g5 emulating an amiga ppc in speed compared with new pc and it is really good for a 2005 machine I have a MacBook Pro retina i7 and continue be proud of my G5 performance.

there are the plugin too prepared .
Note the fssuae is only -maltivec optimized no -faltivec i will made it full optimized after work and will do it for qemu-uae too.
i Forget to mention ... the Altivec speed up you will for sure see in fmv video of cd32 because libmpeg is full altivec optimized.

Note AmigaOS 3.9 need exactly 1 second for boot and run on my Quad let me know how will be on your MMD

Hi tlosm, having FS-UAE on a PowerPC Mac sounds really great! Could you please specify what kind of machine you are using (Apple Menu, about this mac - System Profiler... There should be a machine name like PowerBook 5,1)? Does OS4 benefit from the increased processor speed, or does it only work in OS3.9 yet? Best regards.

Thank you very much, late this evening I will perform the necessary tests on your build: what I am really interested in are the 68k performances, I know for sure that both MPEG and PPC emulation will be too much demanding for my poor G4 machine :-)
If there are improvement I will setup a spare PowerMac MDD I have around to build FS-UAE accordingly to your, just to not alter the MacPorts setup that works quite well for SDLMame PPC builds.

Yes : more powerfull PPc the host have more powerfull will be the emulation speed ... For sure on Power8 machine FS uae will run better than a Desktop pc

In late afternoon i will build with full altivec support the Qemu part too
and share let me know how it will work... but i will much courious to know how it will work in LinuxPPc with Kvm

Snake before you become creazy when you setup the emulation remember to turn off all the scsi device in the cyberstorm bios... push esc when turn on the FSuae ... this because there was an endianess end i fixed for ppc making a not clean patch :P

EDIT i just make the -faltivec and -maltivec of Fsuae and is about 4x more faster than before

No... I don't think I have changed anything in this regard...
(but it might have changed with the QEMU 2.1 -> 2.2 upgrade)

Hi frode i usually build the qemu not only fsuae with adding the
CPPFLAGS=-faltivec -maltivec after the configure modding the makefile
but here i dont understand nothing :P :P is totally different the make file generated from the qemu-uae compared with the offical qemu ....

I suggest then that you run configure like this:

CFLAGS="-faltivec -maltivec" ./configure

Frode i confirm it was build with altivec
performance increasing in Qemu PPc emulation about 30%

I don't think so, but if you use the A4000/OS4 model, the hard drives are automatically configured to use the accelerator SCSI device. You can change to IDE with e.g.:

hard_drive_0_controller = ide0
cdrom_drive_0_controller = ide1

Just tried your build but it crash: this happens because you have to run the "standalone.py" script in dist/macosx/ to make a portable app, otherwise the fs-uae binary will target to your local libraries instead of target to the bundles ones. Copy and paste your binary inside my bundle will not work.
The final python script usually aborts when it looks for the SDL2 framework so you have to add it manually and then re-run the "standalone.py" script.
Note that you have to be inside the build folder to allow the script to operate correctly, typically I do the following steps (example is for the actual 2.5.22):

- After the build process is finished (and the script aborted) I go from Finder inside the directory fs-uae_2.5.22dev/dist/macosx/fs-uae_2.5.22dev_macosx/
- Open the FS-UAE app bundle with "show package contents" option from right-click menu
- Navigate to Contents/Frameworks/ and copy inside the "SDL2" binary from your Library/SDL2.framework/Versions/A/SDL2
- Go to terminal
- Change dir to /dist/macosx/fs-uae-2.5.22dev_macosx (if you digit "ls" command you should see only "FS-UAE" listed)
- Relaunch the python script with "../standalone.py FS-UAE.app" command (the two dots are necessary because the script resides in the dir tree level above)
- The script this time should run to end without errors
- At this point if you look again inside the FS-UAE bundle you should see all the libraries and frameworks needed and, more important, the application is now portable outside your setup.
