Data corrupted with CF PCMCIA adapter
Someone had problems using ACA 630 and a compact flash PCMCIA reader? I have an A600 motherboard rev. 2D, and all data copied to CF card are corrupted, i have tested with ACATune with maprom, fastchip and z2chip functions activated, and i tested also without ACATune, but without any successful result, it only works with ACA 630 disabled.

OK, after 15 minutes of testing, my ACA1230/28 is running fine!
(OK, I'm not as patient as gibs.. ;-) Yeay! Of course, there's some false advertising here.. I was getting a 28Mhz card, but SYSINFO says it's 29Mhz!!! ;-) :-) I did have to remove the case to get it to fit, but at least so far (knocking on wood) it's running nicely... Thanx Jens for a great product and thanx Amigakit for a great store.. 64M and 28Mhz.. I feel like Scrooge on Christmas morning... I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl... What to do with all that power? ;-) AlienBreed 3D AGA ran great (IMHO)... Same smallish screen and blocky graphics, but seemed much smoother to me... Very playable.. Thanx again, desiv |

Gibs, there is no need to put a finger on it. It was designed to accelerate your A600, not to please your fingers :-) Jokes aside, it's perfectly normal that a heatsink gets hot. Jens |

Thanks Jens, i have removed NoDisk jumper, and now it works perfectly! And thanks you for your efforts to bring new accelerators for our classic Amigas.

The Indivision ECS and the chip RAM expansion and some other things have been ordered at Vesalia. AmigaKit doesn't seem to have the Indivision anymore. With that I can finish the ACA630 Amiga 600.
I'm looking forward to the following pieces of upgrades. If and when they appear. The Indivision AGA mk2 for the Amiga 1200. An accelerator for the CD32 and an Indivision for the CD32 but only if there will be an accelerator for the CD32. I have no Amiga 500 and don't want one either. So I am really looking forward towards a CD32 accelerator. |

You and me (and probably most 1200 users here) both... I can't wait to get rid of all the bulky CRT monitors on my desk. It sounds like it will be a while longer though.

I'm worried for the keyboard ribbon cable. As for example in the ZX Spectrum "Issue Two" board the heatsink has burnt all the ribbons. Then Sinclair has released the "Issue 3b" with a heatsink relocated. On the ACA630 the surface of the heatsink cover all the ribbon cable. It is as hot and large than you could cook a egg on it. I'm going to look for a way to protect the ribbon cable. BTW, some people asked me what I think about the ACA630, I did a video: [ Show youtube player ] Cheers |

If you feel happy in adding a cooling method, thats up to you. However adding heatsinks and fans etc etc, will proberly void your warranty. Last edited by FOL; 09 January 2011 at 16:23. Reason: Cant be bothered. |

Could you not just put some insulation tape over the keyboard cable?
Surely that would protect it a little at least... |

@Peter
That was what I meant @FOL Damned, the guy that put the fan has lost his warranty ?? If the ACA damage the ribbon, will you send us some new matrix for free? |
