Hi guys is there someone who is playing Deuteros (from Damien magic collection) ?
When I leave the Solar System it asks me for a Boot Disk.
I tryed to use the first disk of the game but it doesn't work!

thanks again to Damiend for this amazing work!

Can you please make a "Save State" just before this happens, attach to a post and finally tell me what steps are required to leave the Solar System?

Afterwards I'll investigate

Ah, there are "Save Disks" in TOSEC...
Maybe we need to use one of these at that point; do you mind trying?

This is the save state at the Boot Disk Request

Hmmm, inserting the "Save Disk" doesn't help here

Maybe try playing the game with this disk; not sure what's been fixed though as it's not mentioned in the filename: Deuteros - The Next Millennium v1 (1991)(Activision)(M3)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr SR][f IMG].zip

Edit: I don't think the game requires any "manual word" protection; we could try swapping to the "Retail: v2" .IPFs i.e: Deuteros - The Next Millennium v2 (1991)(Activision)(M3)[0958].zip?

3 update packs since I last logged in, thanks ! Although not a big fan of the majority of RPGs. Covergirl Strip Poker has a Multi5 version with a Trainer for those that just wan't to see the goods, for nostalgic reasons !

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of RPGs either but thought I better add them for others...

I saw that but from a quick test the language select screen is missing in-game; it is in the trainer though.

Also, the following is missing after the "options" screen which led me to believe that this set is possibly a pre-release:

Heya capitanGiaco,

Just tested by using your save state and the "Deuteros - The Next Millennium v1 (1991)(Activision)(M3)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr SR][f IMG].adf"...

This loads and works fine

I'll update the disks tonight once home; and thank you kindly for your asisistance

Yep, the Skid Row release worked also here!
Glad to be of service.
Now that my old mind started to work I remember that I asked you something about to pass the asteroids belt... that was the Millenium 2.0 crack, and the release in your collection works cause i finished that game.
In Deuteros the copy protection is at the Stars gate....
Tomorrow I'll go to Proxima Centauri

thanks again for your great work!

Here is the fixed set... I've also added the "Save Disk" to a "Diskswapper" slot in case it's needed

So please do the following:
  • Delete the directory "C:\WinUAE\Games\Deuteros - The Next Millennium".
  • Download / extract the attached into "C:\WinUAE".

It's too bad it didn't make it in time for the latest pack but I'm sure Damien will add it to #15. Barbarian Plus looks amazing.

LOL; just logged back into EAB, read your comment zoodah as I'd just finished adding this in and was about to share

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Considering Barbarian+ is all the rage currently, for people that want to try this in my collection...

Download the attached and extract into "C:\WinUAE"
