There's two different WHDLoad versions on the file server in the beta folder.
One by JOTD and one by Codetapper.

Yes, but those Whdload versions are broken:
-JOTD version has wrong audio effects and strange noises during the game
-Codetapper version has missing sound effects

So I meant an install version from the complete version in this thread.

Can the version you uploaded be installed?
a WHDLoad version without the stuttering bugs and ladder problems fixed.

I am only working on a proper disk version, it was the reason I created this thread in the first place. Once I have finished it I may have a look a creating a WHDLoad patch too. But it has low priority at the moment, lots of other things to do.

But this thread is mainly about the disk version.

Yes indeed Stingray, maybe you could spot and find what in the game code kills the gameplay and makes the scrolling abruptly stops ?

cheers !

Denis, is it possible to write this extended adf back to floppy using KryoFlux ?
What parameters do I need to add if it's possible ?

I tried to use PowerCopy on my A1200 using the device files you zoned a while ago, but my A1200 drive doesn't seem to play ball on this one.

actually, you can write this game on standard drive 1 hand tied in your back.
The tracks are not long enough to not allow you to do so.

Are you using a double density floppy ?

Kryoflux can't write back extended ADF....

Bugger, no big deal though.

My Amiga writes the disk but it's unreadable, perhaps I'm doing something wrong in PowerCopy?
Do I need to change some settings before writing back the game (other than source and destination of course) ?

not really, you should be able to write it back right away since i have carefully crafted the tracks sync and length too.

Try another double density disk then. It's maybe faulty....

Doh, browsing to DEV: folder instead of manually typing path did the trick. *facepalm*

Thanks and sorry for bothering you with this trivial stuff.

can't be nothing else than that, OR, MAYBE, the DEV folder has not been set as SOURCE and the drive DF0: as TARGET.

Sandro, if the disk is good, and powercopy is correctly set, then the copy is 100% winner.
There is nothing in this protection that a standard drive can't copy. (or else you have a bad disk drive).
