Hello,
This adaptor does not allow the use of high density disks. I am looking into this, if feasible, it will become another project. This project is mainly to replace drives in A500/A600/A1200 or to allow tower users to use a PC drive, with the correct front plate. I am in the process of putting the orders through for the first batch of 50 boards. Availability will be early march 2009. Ian |

Hi,
I am currently waiting for the batch of 50 PCBs to arrive, then I can start production. The majority of the components are now in stock, in my shed Have started to make the power cables for the PC FDD, has anyone ever seen a drive that uses the +12V supply? Will update again when units are ready. Ian |

Well, that's good, of course. In case Amigakit etc stop selling new ones and so on. Me, I'm still pretending (no, really this time) to chuck .adfs into RAD:, CF is my link to the PC.

Hello,
I've finally started assembly. Thought you might like a few pictures of the first assembled unit. Sorry if a little blurry, used my camera phone. The assembled PCB. Underside of PCB. Connected to a disk drive. There are two sets of jumpers. The first changes the drive select signal on the PC drive to allow DS0 or DS1, this caters for drives/cable settings. The second jumper allows the nREADY signal to either be output via pin 34 to the Amiga or using a cable connected to the 23 pin d-type for Escom A1200s. The user manual, which I have yet to write will detail this. A support page will go online soon. Schematics, PCB layout and bill of materials will be available. Pricing and orders I want to get a number of units assembled before the new ordering system is put online, please bear with me. An assembled unit is 9 UKP A kit of parts is 6.50 UKP A PCB is 3.50 UKP Currently have the parts to make 50 units in stock. Have had expressions of interest covering 26 units so far, so there are units available for ordering. Dinner time Last edited by Stedy; 09 May 2010 at 12:31. |

I like 1 too. There is already a online ordering system? If so, where it is? |
