Try it, you can find disk images in the Zone (also TOS image). Download Steem emulator from here: http://planetemu.net/index.php?secti...=34&os=Windows

+ good graphics (some ripped)
+ good sound fx
+ atmosphere of first Alien Breed
+ different weapons
+ similar 'intex system shop' from Alien Breed
- silly speeches
- average enemy AI and weak collision detection (sometimes aliens can partially hover above walls)
- very slow main hero

Go to Steem Options/Machine/ST CPU Speed and adjust to your liking (try 24 MegaHertz to see a decent change and still playable).

Apparently you can do this kind of change on the fly (no need to cold reset), so you can play, change the speed and see immediate consequences in game.

Among the minus things, unless I missed something, you can add that you only have one life.
Same goes for ammo. Only one gauge. Can be refilled with a pickup, but still it makes ammo. management quite difficult (compared to AB).

Finally, in the main menu, there is an option (the 2nd I think), which reads something like 'digits'. Anyone know what it does?

Universal Soldier is Turrican 2 for the Genesis... well at least kinda Since the first one was a huge fail on the Genesis, the second one was realeased 'in disguise' as Universal Soldier

And another one. Is only a coincidence that most of these rip offs are on the ST?

I know It's just that this rip-off overkill on the ST is really strange. Seems like all guys with some GFX skills were on the Miggy (I wonder why... )
