May have already asked this before Frodo... but a GUI for loading netplay games would be great! I keep having to leave you msgs on IRC via FS-UAE as you're always too busy to reply in time

Thanks for the reminder (I published an update for stable/utopic a couple of days ago, so it should be available now)

Action Replay

Hi all..

How do you add AR cartridges... i cannot find, even though i've imported these, maybe this method is only for Kickstarts..? (i dunno), but still after power on, there is no splash screen for Action Replay..

Are these not supported??

ok thanks, but i've tried several different ways...

what is the exact syntax for eg ~/Users/testuser/AR.rom.

I've even copying the exact syntax from Terminal on Mac but no go.

Update: Seems FS-UAE on Mac only likes single word filenames.

AR.rom not A R or A_R even if in quote or apostrophe.

Works when renamed nevertheless Thanks

I get complaints that I need to download Pinball Dreams before I can run it (even though it shows as a result of scanning the downloaded files). I complied and downloaded from the URL provided by the message to FS-UAE/Floppies but still get a message saying some files are missing.
EDIT: PEBKAC - I just needed to select 'ADF' rather than 'WHDLoad' from the right of the Launcher. Apologies.

Having issues loading Impossible mission II. A500+ 1MB Chip & Fast

On intro screen, the guy says says "Stay forever", he laughs, then laughs again just before FS-UAE throws a GURU.

If this is a cracked game, well done

Just started playing Vroom and had a thought: Is there anyway to emulate local/modem connection to allow more players? Would be great if we did a race on FS-UAE with EAB members! this feature is not required on Lotus as you can do a split screen game but this is not possible on Vroom like games.

Net play is for using the same screen ie like sitting and playing with another person on the same Amiga. Whereas modem/local play is via serial emulation I believe. That way we can also play stunt car racer online!

How to install kickstarts

I've tried using the Amiga Forever image have (in iso form), but kickstarts do not appear in FS-UAE.

Is this because there is a .rom key in the same directory ? which may not be handled by this second option.

Solved.... needed to point to drive volume.

On OS X and Linux, you can connect the emulated serial ports across two machines via the network. But I'm not sure if the serial emulation is sufficient for this use case, and whether there's synchronization/timing issues prevent it to work. I'll test someday when I'm bored

I've registered an issue here https://github.com/FrodeSolheim/fs-u...cher/issues/17, so I remember to improve the importer later (it would be better to detect this case and automatically find the real CD root).

It does not work. Most fast action serial link games (like Lotus 2) require real-time serial communication and near-instant latency.

That's a shame as games like Stunt Car Racer will remain single player

Thanks for confirming (My gut feeling told me it wouldn't work, which is why I hadn't bothered to try yet).

Some feature ideas

System:
make custom game configurations be able to lookup the library via the given title

UI:
add a button on the f12 screen next to the "aspect ratio button" to switch through the different pixel filters (if possible)

Any benefit or new features running FS-UAE on a Retina MacBook or Macbook Pro? Thinking about getting one and wondering if it enhances any features in FS-UAE.

Thanks for all the updates, FS-UAE runs great on the MacBook Air.

Where do I find the FS-UAE Laucher in Windows 8.1 64Bit? I have no Desktop icon for it.
