Joe - pictures of your modded card are what we need. The thinking is this is a hardware fault...

What's that smudge around C22. Lighting or corrosion?

It is lighting not corrosion.

I finished some other tests:

1.When I start InitPPC without RAM then I received message like this: On the Sonnet Card no RAM detected.

2.When I start without startup-sequence and start this small script, script executed ok and gfx card detected and pc monitor starts.

3.I moved powerpc.library to libs: powerpc and assigned it. When I have there some 1x64 or 2x64 MB and I start InitPPC then after a few seconds I see again RamLib error 80000004. So, I tried I thing everything but with no
successfull. Should I have some special parameters to set on Evarc for this issue? How can I check what next loaded after powerpc.library in snoopdos tool. I see there only powerp.library loaded OKAY and nothing next after that.

It really looks like the pin of the LT1085 VRM connected to the ground of C21 is connected to the pad-this is wrong. It is only supposed to be connected to C21, not the solder pad.

See this drawed picture: https://ulozto.net/!RKExxua76ll3/sonnet-1-jpg

RED: This is connected
GREEN: This is not connected, this is not have contact with RED line.

-----

Pinout for U8 goes (towards C21).
  1. 3.3V
  2. Unknown possibly ADJ for regulator NOTE THIS PAD IS NOT CONNECTED TO REGULATOR, the WIRE GOES FROM VRM GND TO THE GND PAD at C21.
  3. 3.3V
  4. 5V
  5. 3.3V

Option 1. I have not connected. Only 4, 3 and 2 I have connected.
So, I followed the your picture. So, I have soldered 4, 3, 2 on PAD.
And you want to tell me that option 2 is not soldered to PAD only conected between regulator leg and C21? Can you provide me some better picture?

Thank you.

If you connected 2) to the regulator this will not work. See above picture.

Sonnet Crash

Thanks for respond.

I corrected this pin as you have on this screen but still I have the same error after start InitPPC - RamLib error 80000004. I tried all possible combination with gfx and sonnet card only in mediator and still the same issue. So I do not now where I have the problem.
I put here two listing, one from WhichAmiga and second from SnoopDos 3.8.

I have tested both Dosbox executables - unfortunately they crashes after the start. Is there any other software needed? Attached a screenshot of my workbench with some data. I hope this helps.

You might try cranking up the stack to about 1,000,000 .

I'm not sure what's wrong here. I don't know if you've tried a clean reinstall if not that might be something to try. Things I can think of:
-Sonnet has hardware problem
-Problem with Sonnet RAM
-There was a patchramlib program on Aminet that used to be required but I don't think that this will help
-Not enough power in system for Sonnet
-Corrupt 68060.library perhaps?
-Some other corrupt file

Is your HDD on the IDE or SCSI bus? Some people have had problems with SCSI and IDE is known to work in all cases.

That's certainly a possibility. Joe if you know Jack-3D well, you might send the Sonnet to him to test, that's the easiest, quickest way to test it-in a known working system.

Yes, but I am not sure if I should plug Sonnet which has been upgraded to 5V support to my Black 3.3V mediator. I am simply too much scared, what if the problem is caused by that upgrade? Anyway Joe can always visit me or send components for testing. We know each other ;o)

OK, slowly starting debugging this Sonnet thing again. First how do I back up Picasso screenmodes, so I don't need to set them up everytime I do a fresh install?

The monitor file in devs: monitors. Picasso96settings in devs: and systemconfig (I think) in Prefs:Presets. The latter not strictly required. It is used to save the used workbench screen mode.

I have a 3.3V modded sonnet in my 3.3V mediator and it has been working for months now.

As Hedeon also says, I also tested 5V -> 3.3V modded Sonnet in a PowerMac 7200 and it worked fine.

Sonnet crescendo Ramlib Error.

I really do not know where problem is.
I can try patchramlib program and I will see.
I have 350W PSU so I thing there is enough power.
I have not corrupted 68060.library, without sonnet worked everything fine.
I tried more version of 68060.library and without successfull.
I have no idea with other files could be corrupted.

I use IDE HDD for boot without problem. Now I have there one SCSI HDD and I want to use both of disk in future.
