Indeed not berries, but also not nuts. They're "other" Berry is still the better description for them though. If it looks like a duck and talks like a duck...
Speaking of ducks... It's a bit unfair to do the "games missing" bit for this round because food pickups are a staple of many classic games and actually it was pretty much the theme for a previous round too But still... Qwak which even happened to make the A500 mini line up for some reason (fun game though, so why not). It would have been a nice honorary inclusion |

Well done Little Havie - can't believe he beat me and all because of Goofy! Still, at least I have gained a few on Nobby.
Also, can I now complain about 25 please. SNES Aladdin I think? Use EAB members only played it on the Amiga and SNES graphics are always totally different - what a meanie! Have to say, Marvin's Marvelous Adventure looks rather good (have played it before) but never really appreciated the graphics. Seems to have a lot of lovely colour - I recognised it but couldn't place it and was convinced it was a Saturn game for ages. Thanks as always for the quiz, we both enjoyed it a lot this month and he won't win again!!! |

The SNES version is a completely different game actually. But the bottom row are always devilish so it fits the theme

You are not the only one to complain about the #25, hadn't expected to kick up such an old battle again. Quote:
I need to watch some Aladdin longplays to compare SNES, Mega Drive and Amiga versions. |

May Quiz - Topless Dudes Over the many years of this quiz series, we've really had quite a few puzzles whose theme was more or less "women".... number one, two, three and the totally not juvenile number four. It's an absurdity that we never did this with the male video game characters! So we're making up for it now, and "topless" the 25 gentlemen have to be as well. So how about it - do you recognise all games just by the sixpacks??? This round is considerably less retro than usual, I hope you can still manage. Deadline is Tuesday 31 May, enter via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/. Here comes the quiz, have fun: Direct link: https://i.imgur.com/prY7Zka.png Last edited by Mr_Horizon; 01 June 2022 at 22:34. |

Oof. Now there's a quiz that will make the mods twitch. I wonder witcher bare chest we shall name as the obvious missing one this time around...
I know like only 4 of these games, I feel ashamed! |

May Quiz - Clues #1
In this round we'll know if someone uses Google or not... your browser history will have some very strange entries and you'll have probably seen some "fan graphics" that you would rather forget again (at least that's how I felt during the research). Sorry not sorry There are 25 players so far, and today I would like to give you a few hints: 1) There was a lot of excitement around AAA title #3 in the current decade. I can't say anything about the style, because that's also the name of the game. 2) Questions about #8? Several characters from this series can also be found in Super Smash Bros. 3) Five games in this round have only appeared on Nintendo consoles (ok, one of them is just an exclusive remake). 4) Four titles are pure fighting games, where the gameplay consists 100% of 1vs1 fights. @Nobby_UK, good eye! This month there's really not a lot of home computer stuff. Deadline is Tuesday 31st May, participation via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/. Here's the quiz again, have fun: https://i.imgur.com/qShBCVm.png |

#19 is from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. He's one of the most interesting NPCs in the game

Hey, a new face!
Welcome to the game, but please don't post answers in the thread before the round is over. It's meant as a competition between players. If you want to play too, enter your stuff on the google form: link |

Defo some Homo-erotica popped up during searches
But now I think I have: 18 ? Some are parts of a series --- but I know you are fairly lenient |

May Quiz - Clues #2
There are only nine days left for you to get in on this round.... are you in yet? Only one player from here (out of just under 40 total), so probably NOT. :P Let's go, here are the final clues! 1) The #13 is a dating sim, if you want you can date the gentleman pictured! 2) Number 7 comes from a long line of creative JRPGs. 3) Game 18 is part of a series with stealth gameplay and is played from either first or 3rd person perspective. 4) And last - the titles in this picture did NOT make it into this round for various reasons: https://i.imgur.com/BSHzBx9.png ...because I didn't know the games, I had forgotten the character, didn't think they were suitable, they are already scheduled for another round or have already been used in the past. Deadline is Tuesday 31st of May, enter via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/ Here's the quiz again, have fun: https://i.imgur.com/qShBCVm.png |
