Got ppc-morphos-gcc 2.95.3 spitting out WarpOS executables. This was more a proof of concept. Looking at 4.4.5/5.3.0 next.
Hopefully will help some of the porting in the future. |

Been working on testing stuff for the new (old) WarpOS version of SDL that Hedeon got working. Here's something that only sort of works with bad stuttery sound. With cycles=1500 it's actually working alright.

I can make movies or I can test.... Did someone ask if this worked? Maybe the copy I found has some problem it says it can't save my settings or make save games.... Maybe I need to install it? But no sound right now, and it's not really fast.

Do you have stuff like Doom or Tomb Raider to test? Tomb Raider in Pc-Task on an 80mhz 060 manages about 2 or 3 fps.

But I've started Space Quest 5 with sound effects and music running and it plays ok-but that's kinda not really impressive since that's in ScummVM. Call of Cthulhu looks like it plays fine with sound and music. Archon Deluxe seems fine. I'm having a mouse issue where it either boxes the mouse input to small area in the middle of the screen-don't know what that's about yet. Some games it's not a problem, others it is. Joystick support I don't know what's going on with, I can map joystick buttons but not the axis-haven't played around with it that much. Isn't anyone going to ask? |

Yes, all you have to do is meet Hedeon at the Amiga32 event in Neuss and drop a 20-Euro note in his hand and he'll give you 4 floppies with it and your certificate of authenticity.
![]() It's not all that amazing, this needs someone smart like Cowcat to look at it and fix the threading or the sound juggling. I can set like 13000 cycles and Master of Orion seems pretty snappy. But for sound to work without skipping I have to set 1500 cycles. Maybe reducing the sound rate will make it work with higher cycles-I dunno. Also Timidity isn't working which I imagine might be faster for Midi support than the soundblaster emulation at least that's what I'm imagining. |

Unfortunately Doom is a slideshow even with sound off I'd guess like 2-4 fps. Something just ain't right with that, the scalers like rgb2x which gives a nice scanline look of CRTs or sai2x don't really seem to slow down the games that work well that are scaled and processed at 640x480.
