Or to put it another way, what would you do if you thought you were stuck behind a locked door while simultaneously armed to the teeth? Last edited by Karlos; 22 July 2024 at 22:35. |

OK, thanks for the hint, I will try that. So from now one shot to any locked door just to make sure :-)
I also noticed that some door make sound when moving while others are completely silent. Is there any reason or system in that or is it random? |

I've added a pair of new achievements that increase the carry of the charged plasma and rockets. Depending on your game stats, you may earn both immediately the next time you kill something...
I've also added the latest binaries and some level errata data that should help with frame dips in some areas where the sky is rendered unnecessarily. |

I've picked up level H where I left it. I'm working in some secret areas and the exit is now locked until you take down the bosses.
I need to reintroduce the wasp but I want it to either teleport in or be released from a trap at an (in) opportune moment. |

A great idea! Have you met Andy Clithroe yet? I can't believe he doesn't do the Amiga Show circuit!

No, I've not had the pleasure of getting in touch with Andy. I did manage to get in touch with Martyn Brown and Charles Blessing though, so they're going to get the hidden area treatment also. |

I have tried to reach out to Andy on LinkedIn, but so far got no response.
It is a bit telling that he's mentioning Worms on his LinkedIn page, but not AB3D. I think there's nothing to be ashamed of... it is quite an achievement for a one man project. It would be really cool to get him take a look at what you've done with his engine. I would be interested in his behind-the-scenes thoughts and memories he's got on the AB3D engine development. |

Maybe he just doesn't have good memories of it. Like Matthew Smith and Jet Set Willy. Maybe the guy got burned out on it.

Can one of the mods maybe rename the thread to "AB3D2 Redux on GitHub" ?
Calling it Karlos TKG sounds a bit daft these days. |

I think th editing tools and stuff are up to the point where someone else can start that one!
My original plan was too ambitious. One was to recreate AB3D1 as the first episode, then this and a separate set of deathmatch maps. There are vestiges or this in the repo here and there, but there's no way I'll ever finish it! |

I'd love to see AB3D's levels in standard 1x1 resolution in 320x256 (or whatever) resolution like in TKG... Sadly I can't put any effort to build them by myself, so since awhile it is an unreachable dream for me...

I did recreate a section of System Purge in the reworked level C as a homage. The exterior of Level M is also inspired by the original playable demo of AB3D 1 |

Ideally, we’d have some map conversion tool. John Girvin fanously did some vital work eith that many years ago and generously shared his work with others and Osiris also used that for the map creation. There must be some way to get a decent map conversion to ab3d2? Maybe not 100% but 80-90% would be a good start. Osiris uses the GZDoom engine, feels like its comparable to TKG engine. Alternatively, how feasable is a GZDoom port to Amiga ;-) |
