Well, things with Winter Supersports manual are going well, although I need some time for it. Theme Park manual will take longer - its not easy to scan and it has about 70 pages.
Just found out that the Rock & Roll diskscan is already in HOL... Heres my diskscan for Winter Supersports (Width=320): Is it okay? Last edited by gogoac; 13 February 2009 at 15:47. Reason: Update |

I uploaded diskscan and manual in jpeg to HOL Server. I dont know if the images are to big? Let me know. Besides, the manual is a bit boring, just text and no nice pictures.

@ HOL-team:
Did you collected many information i have posted in the past. There are many information for games, whose entries are not updated until now(i have posted month ago). It is possible, that this information disappears into the depth of this forum. I have noticed, that a thread without replys of any members, is not a good situation. For example:"Sensible Soccer v1.0" thread there was also the danger, that this information disappeas in the depth of the forum, after two month the discussion starts again with many members involved, and then something happened. In fact, i would like to know, if its worth to try to support this indeed fantastic HOL database. Maybe this kind of support (i have done) is not important enough. |

Thanks for your updates mai.
If you've got a lot of small updates it's best to gather them together and email them to the HOL team or to me directly. I'll check the forums for any data fixes that haven't been done. |

Well, I have a lot of boxed games here where Boxscan/Diskscan or something else is already missing on hol.abime. But I really don't know how to scan those missing things, as I've got no hardware for that

Asking For Some Help with HOL Screen shots...
Hello - I was wondering if anyone could lend a hand with grabbing some screen shots from the PD and Shareware games that are occasionally re-discovered in my thread... http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=47661 I think that each game discovered should receive an entry into the Hall of Light with as much detail and as many screen shots as possible. In this way the authors who kindly donate their games are rewarded by seeing their work show-cased along side other classic Amiga titles. I will continue to track down and contact the authors, hunt for the games and collate the information for the HOL entry - I am asking for someone to help do just the screen shots - I cant keep asking Cody and TCD to do them as they both have many other duties within EAB. It would only be every so often - I don't find that many games! If anyone can help please either post here or PM me and I can tell you which game entry we are working on at present. Thank you Peter Here are some general guide lines to do with HOL Screen shots... http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=186800&postcount=1 Last edited by Peter; 18 November 2010 at 01:26. |

I could potentially help with the screenshots as long as the game can be run with an emulator - Are there paritcular file formats the screen images have to be in?

640x512 (use windowed mode), no filters, PNG will be generated by WinUAE anyway. Pretty easy huh?
Also have a look here : http://hol.abime.net/hol_faq.php?section=contributions (use the FTP for your uploads and create a folder with your name there) |

I ve attempted to load some images I have taken for Public Domain games beginning with A as I am in the process of going through my disk images in a logical manner - let me know if they are ok and that I loaded them ok - if so I will add more as I go through the disks.

Hmm, they aren't in 640x512, so it's a bit hard to tell if they're okay regarding filter settings. Also I'm not sure what we should use those single screens for. Have a look at this thread : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=52303 and especially this post : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=675167#post675167
So if you could at least make a 640x512 title and ingame screenshot with the info 'form' filled out, we could add them to HOL. Maybe pick some that are really worth a play |

That makes sense - I had problems saving screen images from WinUAE -I will try again this weekend and see if I can get them to work.
I will clear out the files I ve uploaded and resubmit only those which I think are worth playing. |

I am struggling to get screen shots from WinUAE - which buttons do you press? - I thought it was "end" and "print screen"
I'm finding the whole process a bit beyond me... I'm not very good with Winuae, even when I get things up and running I only have a laptop and getting games to run and trying to grab screen shots with 3rd party software turns into a very "fingers and thumbs" bloody nightmare to be totally honest... I also still cant work out how you can get shots from later stages in games either... if it's a case of playing the games through to the end I will be here till next Xmas! At this stage I am tempted to say, I guess we all have our strengths and weaknesses - I am obviously more inclined to get better results contacting authors - I think someone with more experience of winuae or with better facilities may have to be the screen shot Guru. |

Go to the 'Paths' panel and check where the 'Screenshots' entry points to. There you'll find the screenshots you've taken with End + PrtSc
