Did I see correctly ? When the main character move the "TomTom" (is it really his name ?) still falls on his head ?

Another quick progress update.

Here I'm showing preliminary implementation of the falling dragon, the TomTom midget and the Knifer.

The Knifer enemy was in particular tricky to get right, they all still need a little work but hopefully you'll see the game is progressing well.

Off on hols again tomorrow so no updates till into next week.

I should also mention that the game has now evolved into a spin off of Kung Fu master, set 30 years after it - more details will come but between I and 10shu we have a neat storyline and some great stuff in line for the game.

Looks better and better each update.
Keep up the great work.

Small suggestion to the graphic artist:
Make sure both legs are on the ground in the idle pose.. right now it looks like he is doing small jumps all the time.

Umm, he *is*, isn't he? That's the point? Like Marshall Law in Tekken and Fei Long in SF series (both based on Bruce Lee).. Constantly jumping on the spot.

Well, if it's a jump, let it be jump.
This is something in between, and it looks a little bit odd, imho.

Metro Siege is a nice example with idle pose, and both feet on the ground, I had in mind:

Metro Siege isn't Kung Fu based.

Personally I think it's perfect, I won't be lobbying Tenshu to change it.

That's pretty much intentional, going with the kung-fu style. I agree with McGeezer, it's perfect!

I second and third this.
It's the "Bruce Lee hop", and fits perfectly here.

Amazing effort so far, Tenshu and McGeezer.

So many great games coming out for our platform this year.

a prototype of spartan x 2 (beyond kung fu) was discovered some years ago, no program dump available (maybe only the gfx roms). If someone can find those gfx dumps maybe is possible to make a unofficial sequel! Video: (go to min 1:22)

Here's dev update #13... all the main ingame sprite handlers are done (with some polish needed).

The boss handlers remain but all looking good.

The sound samples will be changed, they're just in there as place holders for now.

It's coming on really well. Looks amazing and can't wait to play it! Loved play the original in the Bournemouth pier arcade back in the 80s so this is a real nostalgia trip.

This is looking so awesome, in such a short time to. Forgot about those tiny acrobat enemies to, were a right pain as I remember!
