Funny. I was just thinking about this thread (really), going to the work this morning, when my eyes sudenly spotted the sleeve of the jacket of the woman standing in front of me in the subway.

My missus plays Bejeweled on our laptop and that is such an Amiga game. The presentation and especially music are so Amiga it's untrue.
The other thing that reminds me of the Amiga is the iPhone, because when it was released it was such a step forward over anything else, just like the Amiga was. The difference I guess is the Amiga stayed out in front for longer. |

These people: http://www.amigasystem.no/xp/pub/topp/hovedside
...making bloody wardrobes and furniture widgets, using Amiga as a brand name. Also, one of my local grocery stores stock dimswitches, plugs and other electronic gadgetry, under the name "Amiga". Different company though. It gets me every time I'm out shopping. (http://www.billigelektro.no/index.ph...acturers_id=19) |

Certain types of sweets like smarties, bassets Liquorice allsorts and those strippey canes remind me of `ZOOL` ,was not too keen on the game myself but i associate it with the Amiga when ever someone mentions the game.

On Sony Ericsson P800 smartphone some full screen windows could be moved down by grabbing on the menu bar and dragging down so that the program underneath was visible like in workbench. The UI was simple but amazingly responsive when compared to some current smartphone operating systems, much like workbench. And it could multitask quite well for 12MB of RAM or so (with decent task manager installed)... Used to have N-player playing mods and some irc client running on background while browsing web with opera...
And for some reason a P800 demo [ Show youtube player ] by Yodel reminds me of [ Show youtube player ] by Maturefurk for Amiga, don't really know why... |
