It is some bad history with pre-orders so I would not expect to many. I will for sure buy the digital version when it is ready. Keep on the great work. |

I've been bitten too many times with preorders now. I'll wait to see when it starts to ship, then put in an order.

Would be nice to get an official explanation of how the effect works.
Looking at it, my guess is that it uses a pre-rendered set of bitplanes that provide the "texture", i.e. the lighting and the details at the edges of tiles. To create the tunnel a 2 bitplane mask is used, which covers where the tiles are shown and selects one of 4 colours - grey, brown, orange and transparent/black. To make the transparent/black parts seem hollow, the starfield is rendered in only those areas. Drawing the tunnel is still going to be difficult, but on an A1200 with fast RAM you can copy data from fast to chip as fast as the blitter can fill it, so there is the possibility of doing a massive amount of pre-rendering. |

Jump! on UNITHOR gameplay. First force feedback joystick for Amiga from UNI-joy.
UNITHOR entirely controlled by the software. The effect is achieved by setting the appropriate pins 5 or 9, using one MOVE instruction to write POTGO register ($dff034). [ Show youtube player ] |

There is the game review in the March issue of the magazine "Passione Amiga". I can not reveal the details, but I will only write that the game received a score of 92/100.

Another review of the test version:
The game is from top-drawer. The 3d graphics don't look so coarse, the animations are super fluffy and the sound effects and music pieces fit the gameplay absolutely perfectly to overall create for us a gem. Jump! runs on a normal Amiga 1200 ... it can be played as smooth as butter even in this minimal configuration, which is a remarkable achievement and makes it clear what can be squeezed out of the old box. |

It's a nice game, well done. I couldn't quite get it to work with the 4mb Fast but did with more 8mb.
You might want to add a warning that it might not be suitable for people with epilepsy, I got to level two and I found it pretty trippy (and I don't suffer from it). Geezer |
