The ripper CAN combine them !!! Just look at the Sprite (SP) mode description. You must set the X size to 16 pixels and enable the SP mode, then align the graphics properly (by properly setting the Y size to what the sprite size is) and it will COMBINE the two halves properly - also you must have 2 bitplanes enabled to actually get 4 colours (3 + 1 transparent). It works perfectly with the BatMan example. If you can't get it to work then I will try and get a screenshot at the lunch break so you will see how it is done.

Ive got a request please. The guy next to me at work is writing a turn based game a la Advance Wars except its set at sea with little sail boats and pirates etc...

Problem is he cannot draw....

Is there a game (maybe pirates?) that you could rip the gfx from and if there is could someone do it please.

Basically the game puts them together when it needs to.

They do this so that there are less big sprites The players character might be made of 2 sprites joined together, and if only a small part needs to move (say the arm) then only the arm is redrawn see

Only way to do this is rip the sprites, then use a paint prog to re-join them
No sprite are stored splitted, not many any way, not moonstone and not batman, so you are wrong.

Thanks, tomcat. I'll see if I can work it out.

Ok, it works better now. I have combined most of them... but they are not in a straight horizontal line, the combined sprites are scattered.... will try some more later... are busy.

Nice ripps bippym, but you Magic Pockets sprites are not correctly ripped.. well, you miss the bottom line of pixels cuz you had them too high up... but I guess you've already seen that. Here are the correct ones:

Thought so ... why don't we just post all sprites we rip? I love to see alot of sprites on each page.. but think we should keep the sprites to Amiga only.. by that I mean games that are on Amiga only, cuz why rip games that has already been ripped on snes?.. like Addams Family, Batman 1, Mortal Kombat etc.

Just ripped some sprites from Lv1 of Ghostbusters II. Didn't bother to get to the second stage. (I do have the cheat codes though).

Maybe someone soon will start the ARSE site.

Nice work, but if you want other people to use the sprites, you should post them as Gif and not jpg. As jpg, it does not have clean pixels and are therefore filthy.

Could someone help me getting the graphics from 'The Adventures of Robin Hood'?

I can kind of get the mouse pointer (a pointing hand) in the first black and white mode, but everything else is garbled, and I really have very little idea what I'm doing.

Got the same problem with most games. That's why I uploaded an uncompressed savestate of batman so tomcat could show us step by step how to do it. He said earlier in this thread that you should be in the SP mode (pressing "m") to combine the splitted sprites.
