Pictures of dildos aren't allowed. You want to discuss this further, do so in PM. You can also get the 1 month treatment that's meant for this incident if you would like to continue the discussion here in the thread.

The image presented to me in email upon THB's reply was a (south american?) Atari 2600 clone called Amigo (in silver letters to the left) and beige-white brick-like plastic case.
Either THB or someone else changed the picture-link (from one starting with "http://www.atariage.com") after I got the subscription email snippet, or atariage.com is the prankster here. If there is editing history, it can be see whether THB edited his own post, or TCD did, or someone else in between. I can forward the mail with the link to this rare console to anyone concerned. No need to get on your high horse, I simply wanted to know what the problem was. Thanks for the explanation.

Ah, the avatar is slightly different... comes with being on this forum too long, recognizing people by avatars Fact remains that what Hewitson posted was an image of a plastic toy but not a dildo. Someone changed the image link anyway.

It was me who changed the link, I thought the Gaystation 2 picture was considerably more entertaining

Nice comment - old but good!
Code:
// // Dear maintainer: // // Once you are done trying to 'optimize' this routine, // and have realized what a terrible mistake that was, // please increment the following counter as a warning // to the next guy: // // total_hours_wasted_here = 39 // |

Why is it funny?
It only takes a good programmer a few minutes to improve whatever code the mediocre programmer is trying to protect, because he couldn't be arsed to do a good job in the first place. Or is it assumed that maintainer is a shit job and only the really bad programmers get that job and will always fail? |
