The biggest use of Amigas on TV I ever saw was on the Sci-Fi channel, just after it came out. They had a big contest where they had people send in Amiga movies or demos. The reason I remember this is that I made a video using DPaint IV and sent it in.
There for awhile, though, they were showing clips of Amiga videos almost everyday as more people sent in their projects. |

Amiga in the movies
I have watched many movies and series, and especially when I watch some late 1980ies or early 1990 I am especially cautios to spot Amigas.
Here is a short list of my 100% sure Amiga spots: SledgeHammer - Amiga 1000 used by Anne-Marie Martin. They use the Amiga to show some images of criminals. War of The worlds (Season 2) - Amiga 500 used by an alien kid. He uses it a lot - opens workbench (1.3) drawers, waits for loading (it must be from disk drives, or very slow hard drive). Alf - Tanner have A2000 in his garage. Adult movie from Private done in 2003 - A1200 in a sexshop, most probably used for the tapes catalog! The gods must be crazy - Amiga 2000 used in Africa, showing some graphics. |

There was a horrible movie with the Fat Boys called Disorderlies that have an A1000. Upon verifying my memory, this website lists other films. Sadly, Prince of Darkness is not listed.

Movies/TV Programs possibly done on an Amiga?
My favorite TV show as a kid in the 1990s was The Secret World of Alex Mack was aired during 1994-1998 on Nick. Some of you may remember this TV Show. The special effects on this TV show showed Alex (played by Larisa Oleynik) shooting out electrical zappers out of her fingers and morphing into a puddle similar to special effects done in Terminator 2.
Attached are thumbnail images. Anyone know if these special effects including the logo were done on the Amiga? or Macintosh? The special effects look like it was done on an Amiga. Was it also done through Video Toaster. Since it aired during the mid-90s, video toaster was possibly still in use. |

Has no-one seen that episode of Bones where an A500 (IIRC) actually has a fairly major role... The plot revolves around the body of a genius games programmer suddenly being discovered about 15-20 years after he died in the late '80s / early '90s.
Technical accuracy wasn't great, however... supposedly this programmer was so skilled he could create a full-screen, hi-res FPS a la current 360 / PS3 games on the Amiga in about 1990. Ahem... EDIT: According to Wikipedia the episode is called "The Boy In The Time Capsule" and it originally aired in November 2007, as part of Season 4. Last edited by antonvaltaz; 24 June 2009 at 18:28. |

They used Amiga GUI for onscreen info from 1989 all the way through to 1996 when it was revamped... No pics but just Youtube the show.... |

Well, in this snapshot of a few seconds later you can see another guru on the left screen , the boing ball on top and the preferences in the Amiga on the right (looks an A3000 with 1.3?!?!?!), they don't need to disguise the Amigas on this show |
