Ishar AGA protection fails

sorry to interrupt your thread, but is it normal that ishar 3 freeze if i push esc during the intro ????

yes i already try to fix it using skip intro pressing 'eec" but all times game crashed after menu....

The Ishar 3 aga slave works fine for me.

Here is a picture of the glitch (Silmarils logo) of the Ishar2AGA.Slave using Winuae with chipset cycle exact set for Amiga 1200.....if I select more than 2 MB of Fast Ram:

It's same startup code and same patch for the starutp code for all silmarils games released after ishar 1... so i don"t understand actulaty your problem

if will try with your config file to reproduct crash and see if i can found something

Bebert, i have already met this bug on my real A1230. It doesn't happen all the time, but it can happen.

try to enter in Hrtmon build-in version (page up key) when this bug is displayed and

Trying that the game will continue now but with the same type of graphic glitch.

Upon further testing:
If I check NTSC from the Chipset options in Winuae the game loads fine with no graphical glitches when using more than 2 MB Fastram.

That was it! It was WHDload.
The latest 17.1 release as well as the newest beta 17.2 glitches. I went back to WHDload version 17.0 and it is now working!!!

i use last whdload beta version and it's works fine for me too, contact me on me whdload's email account, i'll sent to you this beta for test

it's a random bug. it's not related to whdload, i use here version 17.2 beta.

Hi, guys. Sorry for intruding like this, but I'm fiddling around with the DOS version of the game and I'd really appreciate if someone could share the saves made before the manual protection is triggered (apparently they are compatible between DOS and Amiga versions).

hello winterfury. Alas nope, the saves are only compatible between amiga and atari ST.
PC saves are not compatibles with the amiga release and inversely.

Hi dlfrsilver. The GOG version of Ishar loads the save file included in this archive just fine, so either I was incredibly lucky or at least the version in question seems to be quite compatible (save-format wise).

I just don't know what to say. I've downloaded the Atari ST saves which as you say are compatible with the Amiga version and tested them with my GOG PC version (there are 18 save files and I tested each and every one of them) and they all work fine.

Could you remember the places where the game asks for a password? One such place is Rhudgast forest, when you exit it to the east, the game asks you to enter a word.
