Its not. In retrospect it may have a bunch of flaws (Ye level design is not great), but I had a 060 when it came out and I could play it in 1x1 and it had awsome effects never before seen on an Amiga. The other FPS game at the time looked more or less like shit or were only boring tech demos. I played it through twice and enjoyed it alot.
Dont remember exactly in which order I played these but I remember thinking Breathless looked real nice, but after a while it gets very samey and boring. Nemac IV was nice the way I remember it. (Again on 060). Genetic Species is one of those games I wanted to play but I think I only played a demo of it. Its damn near impossible to find on ebay, or amibay too ;-) (Ye i want the boxed version :-)
The first Alien Breed 3D was actually a really good game, but there's no way denying it looked "dated" even back then with the tiny screen and 2x2 pixels...

I'm sticking with Citadel. Gotta respect the fact that it actually ran on an A500 (the same way Doom ran on a 386) and that it had the same wall-bashing-simulator gameplay as Dungeon Master. I mean if you run into a wall that hurts, so it made perfect sense!

If I remember correctly with WinUAE they were too slow on 68000 CPU and very glitchy with something faster but it was long ago and emulator was updated.

Gloom Deluxe would be the best of the native Amiga 3D shooters.

But I'd rather replay Doom1 E1 in ADoom, than finish any of the listed games even once.

If the original Alien Breed 3D cover disk demo was included as voting option that's what I'd be supporting. As I've said one or twice before the demo was so much better than the final game - better map, better atmosphere, better excitement, better playability and better baddies!

seems like it's using a technique similar to virtua karting, interesting method.

Nice engine, especially if that's on a plain A1200. And it doesn't seem to use the virtua karting trick after all, the mag photo is somewhat misleading.
