Well done!
There are a bunch of tools in this archive: http://aminet.net/package/misc/os/WarpUP_V40 Dont run the installer, just use the various tools and demos Last edited by trixster; 23 August 2017 at 22:28. |

Then WarpSNES if that works then AHI is working properly. If you just want command line utilities as Trixster says Cyberpi from the WarpUP package is nice and simple, Hedeon has his results 80 or so pages back. Dnetc is good also with -bench option you can compare to 060s and other platforms. Quote:
Yes Warp3D=No (crazy innit?) Quote:
Then maybe Mame or Neo Geo games, both run pretty much flawlessly-though it might be confusing to determine which games are supported by the very old versions we have available. Descent Freespace is pretty nice, makes you forget for a little while you're running something that pretty on an Amiga. By the time you get bored with all that somebody should have released some thing NEW AND AMAZING WITH HEAVY EXCITEMENT AND MANY CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!11!!!11!one1 |

Payback suffers heavily from banging the audio hardware. If you set sound volume to 0 you'll see the difference.

Alas I'm stuck again. It's more a proof of my inability than anything else I guess. I ran some tools from the WarpUP package as trixster suggested (Not installing it). They ran fine.
Then I installed the Mediator Warp3D and problems started. That install didn't add the PPC libraries, I assume because WarpUP isn't "properly" installed. So I manually copied all the other libs (maybe too many?) to their respective folders. Warp3D.library Warp3DPPC.library W3D_Picasso96.library W3D_Picasso96M.library W3D_Picasso96MU.library W3D_Picasso96_PPC.library W3D_Picasso96M_PPC.library W3D_AvengerBE.library W3D_AvengerBEM.library W3D_AvengerBEMU.library W3D_AvengerBE_PPC.library W3D_AvengerBEM_PPC.library W3D_AvengerLE.library W3D_AvengerLEM.library W3D_AvengerLEMU.library W3D_AvengerLE_PPC.library W3D_AvengerLEM_PPC.library Both with mediator ENVARC Warp3D to No or Yes all Warp3D stuff fails. Well, all is nothing more than the demos provided with Warp3D. When running any of these the Amiga simply crashes and reboots. I guess I'm missing out on some config? What I also noticed, when tweaking the minimal startup sequence is that without running IPrefs I don't succeed to switch to a Voodoo Screenmode and with running IPrefs all works fine. This may just be normal behaviour as I have never before toyed around with this. Again any help very much appreciated. |

In other news, for people that had AmigaAMP slowness in launching and Sysspeed being slow and things, Hedeon released version 280 of the library which might have fixed this again, give it a try. |

Nah, the documentation is not very good and everyone knows it . At some point we should really write a proper step-by-step guide.
You can do that too if you feel like it, since you're doing whole install from scratch now. We'd gladly accept any contribution in the area of documentation :P. In any case, Wiki at GitHub is publicly editable (one just need to create an account there to add content). |

Another option is an install script but it means including stuff from so many different sources. MMUlib, Elbox drivers, AHI, Rtgmaster and on and on. Or maybe rolling it in with one of the better all inclusive builds is an option like ClassicWB (which is what I use). |

Thanks again guys. Hope to continue my struggles in a few days. And if I have everything up and running I wouldn't mind writing some install guide.

#281 working well for me. Sysspeed snags fixed (68k mips etc), Winamp delay on starting fixed also.
Haven't had chance to test anything else. |

@Spudje Please also add showconfig and pciinfo output after you think you have installed Warp3D correctly and it stills bombs out. |

In general:
People tend to change their system during debugging and forget to mention. I don't like going through all the pages again. In fact, I cannot find the pciinfo output already :-) |

@spudje: not sure if you're problem is the same as mine, but I never could get gearsppc.exe to work with my set up, which held me back for ages as I was using that to test Warp3D. But all other Warp3D progs work fine (full details about 20 pages back in this thread!) So, have you tried Cowcat's Quake for instance?

Elbox have released some stuff:
The new version of pci.library for all Mediator models has been released today. The pci.library ver. 12.0 allows to set the PCI space of Mediators working in the MMU mode as nocachable. It's controlled by Envarc:Mediator/NoCache variable. At the same time we are releasing the beta version of the pci.library 13.0. It supports additional PCI space for PCI processor cards in Mediator 1200 TX. Pci.library 12.0 and 13.0 can be downloaded from the Mediator software page. |

Regarding version 12.0; The Sonnet would never have functioned correctly with the PCI memory being cachable and MMU=on (needed for auto-sliding the Z2 window). So that is good.
Regarding version 13.0; I noticed strange behaviour with some WarpOS programs if the 68K memory space was 'negative' (so >$80000000, which is the case on the A1200 mediators with a Sonnet). For example, there were lines not printed by CyberPi and the FPS/Info screen was missing in VoxelSpace. So it now being able to be <$800000000 and still have the full auto window sliding (MMU=on) is also good. No, the library is still not stable with an A1200TX mediator...... (Still working on it). |

An update here.
I did the following. Updated PCI.library to the new v12.0 Updated PowerPC.library to #281 I cleaned up my Warp3D library mess so it reflects: Quote:
- Gears_68k demos work - WarpTest works, but I guess this doesn't use the PPC then either - Any Gears_PPC demo crashes. Although I have the idea it takes a bit longer, I actually even saw the windowed one work for a few seconds and then freeze. Any new try after that resulted in a crash that already happened before seeing the Gear image. The reboot takes a bit longer to happen after the crash as well. PCIInfo: Quote:
