Indeed. The fun starts when you try to play the 'game' though. Everybody that voted for Sierra here should try it

Well I voted Sierra, and dont get me wrong I still played the buggers so they cant have been all that bad just shoddy conversions. You have to wonder though with top banana that during development that no one noticed that it looks like the game play takes place in a buket of puke.

ooh abysmal games. Plenty of those on the Amiga Just to name two that come to mind right away:

Tom and the Ghost: http://hol.abime.net/1453

I mean it looks sort of okay (bit of a color mess) and the music is fun for a while, but my god does it play terrible! You forgot about Tom! Yeah no wonder if you are too busy trying to get the character to properly go up and down stairs.

Moonwalker: http://hol.abime.net/2510

Do I even need to explain? Is it even possible to finish the first level within the time limit? But perhaps this one isn't fair, it is a movie license after all.

Yes, it's possible to finish the 1st level of Moonwalker within the time limit. When you are a 12 years old kid with lots of free time you can do it. I know it by experience

No one mentioned Alternative?

Sierra had made Sierra Soccer which was pretty good.

For Ocean movie tie-ins... what about The Addams Family and Jurassic Park? Hudson Hawk was pretty good too (Better than the movie, ha!). I also enjoyed Navy Seals (Not an awesome game, but it was enjoyable enough). And Robocop has lots of fans.

Regarding ICE... they made Fire Force (Which is a brilliant underrated game IMO), and Deep Core which was very enjoyable too. They indeed made a lot of shit.

Codemasters had Micro Machines which is one of the greatest games ever.

But Alternative? I can't name one single game from them that could be enjoyable.

And of course, Tiertex sucked ass.

And about Risky Woods and Dinamic... that game wasn't developed by Dinamic, but by "Zeus Software", which was also a spanish softhouse. Anyway, it's usually said that's the only polished game published by Dinamic because it was the only one they released on consoles, so they were expected to bring something a little better than their usual. I personally think Risky Woods it's a pretty crap game, but it's indeed very polished.

Bottom line is they never lived up to their name.

Not sure about AMiga games, but they did some awesome games. What about the Dizzy games ?

I seem to remember Ocean disappointed me most at the time. The mags at the time would show these lovely screenies of future Ocean games (Universal Monsters anyone?) and 9 times out of 10 their games stank. I felt especially gutted about Epic, which should've been just that but instead somehow sucked donkey-balls. I liked Lethal Weapon though.

The majority of my games are great, but there maybe a few rotten ones that i've not played or even discovered yet in my extensive collection. The worst one i've played so far is Pit Fighter... Developed by 'Teque'

Don't forget that Ocean, U.S. Gold and other 8bit developers had very nice games for 8bits computers.

As for Sierra, wasn't that bad, apart from their latest Amiga releases with their new icon-driven interface, where those games were simply ports from the pc's and not entirely written in Amiga. Sierra developed such a convertion-tool; to convert from pc to Amiga, that's why the graphics and especially the sound were really crap (don't mention the silly disk-swapping... (Insert StartUp Disk, Insert Disk 1, Insert StartUp Disk, Insert Disk 1 for a million of times).

For me, Macromania. Check Dangerous Streets and you will understand.
