At Deleauvive's request this topic is now closed. Really no need to drag a thread off the rails in this way...

As for the Warhead thread, if you don't dig the uae-configuration program as a versatile mean to change WinUAE settings on the fly "from within the emulated environment" (as described in the Green Alien guides), you will miss some parts, but I'll try to sum it up for you anyway :

I had an issue with the Warhead intro music because the More Compatible CPU setting was not ticked. I had a hard time trying to explain to TCD and dlfrsilver that it had nothing to do with JIT being enabled or Cycle-exact being disabled.

Discussions would trail because I also had to explain to Dlfrsilver that I hadn't discard his input on that subject, but wanted to use a different way (uae-configuration commands) for the desired settings to be set, in order to play that intro & its music smoothly.

One last post about this : Since setting Cycle-Exact and disabling JIT through the GUI sets 'More compatible'. Since you used uae-configuration to do it you had to set it manually (because the GUI can't do that obviously). So if you decide to use uae-configuration (which is no problem per se) you have to check that it does what you want. Hope you get that now.

Indeed TCD.
Super easy testing to see by yourself what happened before/after I fixed the order in which to execute the uae-configuration commands :

Load a config with some megs of JIT, and Cycle-exact unticked (Dlfrsilver nightmare !)
  1. Untick JIT
  2. Enable Cycle-exact

Now do this the other way round :
  1. Enable Cycle-exact
  2. Untick JIT

in both cases, More compatible (featured on the CPU tab) gets grayed out (meaning it's too late to change it again on the fly), but it's disabled in the first scenario, which will break compatibility for some games .
