You mean a working crack? I don't think so. Maybe somebody here is willing to do this job.

Hi,
why are the extended adfs 4MB each in size (instead of 2MB or so)? Were the original floppies High Density? (sorry for the double post) |

@mai
thanks for the info! can you upload it in the zone? I haven't any sources where i can download latest tosec entries =( @supamax I suppose these 4MB ADFs are NOT standard. But their purpose is to be used only with emulators such as UAE. Instead, the 880k(DD)-ADFs and 1760K(HD)-ADFs are standard and can be used with both the UAE and a real Amiga (1760K-ADF obviously require an Amiga with HD Floppy drive) |

This game uses very long tracks, hence the 4mb in size.

There is no way to fit 2x more data in standard DD disk..
EDIT: I checked the image and all tracks have 2 revolutions worth of data. This is also unsupported use of extended adf, may not be working in future (it looks like HD disk image..) EDIT2: I can add "official" extended adf multirevolution track support (read-only) if someone needs it for simple weak bits simulation.. Last edited by Toni Wilen; 01 January 2010 at 14:26. |

I was asking why the extended ADFs are 4MB in size instead of the "usual" 2MB (circa) size. I was not referring to normal 880KB ADFs, of course. Quote:
By the way, Toni, were they obtained using RAWREAD? I know it very well and used it a lot, but I didn't know it supported "multirevolution"... (which parameters are needed from the CLI?) I suppose it's a non-official feature... Last edited by Supamax; 01 January 2010 at 15:46. Reason: typo |

My dump of Killing game Show in extended ADF thanks to Toni Last modification of RAWREAD is WAY beyond the 2 megabytes in size.
The tracks can be long, but the protections in some cases to be imaged correctly with their structures will make HUGE extended ADF. It happens to for other computers ex: Amstrad CPC, monty python flying circus disk image is 501kb in size when the regular size is 195-215kb. This is due to the protection structure on disk. |

Extended ADF is simple raw format, there is no "protection data" (like density). Any proper (non-HD) extended adf file can't be much larger. |

Then I don't understand...
How did CFOU! manage to create those 4MB extended ADFs including multirevolution tracks, if RAWREAD can't create/support them? Which tool did he use to create those extended ADFs? |
