I've spoken to the guys at ExoticA who have very kindly given their permission for us to use their box scans for an alternative pack. So I'll try to get something together shortly.

Programs should have no expectations on what users name their partitions, or at what path users store their games. I hope this should be clear by now. And there is nothing called "drive letter" on Amiga. |

It's fixed by the way. No need for more posts on this subject. And since you don't want to use TL anway...

So what were the improvements with the screenshots if anyone knows. Sorry I couldn't understand and the subtitles made it even worse like it was taking the mick !

Essentially he is describing how he's now opted to use Extra Half-Brite (EHB) mode for the game screenshots which effectively doubles the amount of colours onscreen from the standard 32 to 64 by means of an imaginary upper half of the palette where all colours are half the brightness of their counterparts in the lower half. Though strangely he then goes on to say he's using HAM6 which is a different mode again which allows 4096 colours onscreen with restrictions on what can be placed into adjacent pixels, but is basically a lossy technique that decompresses the image on the fly whilst being drawn to the screen. The EHB part does make some sense if you want to faithfully reproduce images taken from games that used it (Agony is probably one of the most well-known examples for this). However using HAM6 does not make sense really given his desire to be 'pixel-perfect' with the original.
I must admit, I didn't have any plans to add support for either EHB or HAM6 to my IFF C# conversion code. Certainly before I did start any work, I'd hope that Gibs clarifies which mode he is actually using. |

The new Speccy font doesn't look that good on a CRT TV. Maybe due to the color combination (black background/blue font). Is there a decent 8*8 font besides Topaz which would look good enough on a CRT in this color combination?

I've seen that if you can not write a path that's too long (more than 32 characters), then you can write the path to the nearest root folder, and TL will search for subfolders.
