I did not play the version yet but, according to what is in the video i wonder if the sno-bees are changing color round to round and if the music accelerates after 60 seconds like in the original - plus there were some times where the sno-bee will take out its legs and run to a corner if you dispose of all its buddies fast

this is a transcode: all of the above.

Plus I've played it to death yesterday and it's really very faithful. Got to level 13 now that the speed is okay.

New version about to be published. I have even fixed the slowdowns when the diamonds are aligned by using color changes instead of tile changes (another hack). It works great.

i tried it and its still cut by half im probably being ocd but its really attention-grabbing anyway i still suck at this game so maybe i should focus on my skills

Nope, only last pixel is missing now.

Max display width is 285 pixels. Game needs 288, but I could shift the display by 2 pixels, notcing that Pengo lives don't use the first 2 rows, and it's the only thing possibly displayed there.

I'm very happy about the result. It's almost indistinguishable from the original, and I've played the original a lot, way more than Galaxian, Pacman, Xevious or any other ports I made.

I could draw it one pixel higher and "eat" the bottom horizontal wall.

It could be an idea. A good idea actually. Problem is when that wall is shaken it will lose the last pixel. But it may be much better anyway. Will test it.

there seems to be one pixel between the hi-score and the extra lives (purple line):

Maybe you could use that one instead?

yes. And Bren was right. I'm losing 2 pixels at least on WinUAE. With some more hacks (TCD suggestion works), I can gain 1 pixel and the bottom text is fully viewable.
