For me it seems we had some kind of paradigm shift here in the way this was presented and marketed. But I lay my case rested and will be quiet for a while in this forum. See ya, lads. |

Indeed. Smacks of some jealousy and sour grapes. The game looks great, the presenter of that live stream was incredibly enthusiastic, approachable, keen and charismatic, and the artist/programmer came across equally well. In the 90s I’d have LOVED to get that type of hype and interaction with game programmers, it would’ve been amazing.

Don't forget that you have such hype and interaction with the coders (gfx, snd artists too) here on EAB. Every day. Look at how all of them (including Steril707 & mcgeeze) share their passion. You can even shoot the breeze with some people who are major on their fields. Something impossible or really more harder in the 90's. I confirm the stream was really pleasant to follow, and that I enjoyed watching it, but it's not a specific attitude to the persons you have mentionned.

C'mon guys, can't we just be all friends? I mean, think about it, it's just about a computer from the 80's and us still having a good time with it.

There is nothing wrong with marketing and creating hype, in fact it's a good thing, please appreciate those working hard to provide these awesome games for us to enjoy. |

Hi. Any programming details about this game? Does it run on NTSC or is it PAL only?
Is the main routine a VBLANK routine? Are the characters sprites or BOB's? Is the gfx tiles 16x16 or full sized sprites? Does the background scroll every 4th frame? Do the main characters move every frame? Can you pick up weapons and smash payphones like final fight? The reason for the black status bar at the top is that it would of been too hard to do the status bar over map data?? Game looks great tho . I hope you guys are proud with your effort. |

According to the podcast, it runs at 25 FPS PAL but is NTSC friendly. Weapons have not been added yet and might not be. You can smash trash bins in the demo.

This is something quite easy to configure in the engine and at the moment it is set up as: OS friendly version -> no, OS unfriendly version -> yes. BOBs Characters are spriter based modular objects, backgrounds are 16x16 tiles. The background can scroll every "game" frame if it needs to. Yes, all characters can move every "game" frame when needed. In the demo, no, you can however smash trashcans and bounce enemies off mailboxes however. Well the HUD was designed as presented by the creative team, however it sure doesn't hurt performance doing it that way Last edited by alpine9000; 01 September 2019 at 08:26. |

I have a little question :
Do you plan an aga version ?? i know that it's more challenging to make it runs on ocs and more rewarding, a kind of graal. But an enhanced aga version could be great ! If you already took the decision to stay on ocs, i'll be more than happy, because the result on ocs is already amazing. keep up the good work ! |

As you may have seen, we do have options to target other platforms (which could include AGA), but OCS Amiga is the #1 priority, and we have not made any decisions on other platforms yet. |

@redblade I believe Sprites trick is used for the Parallax, is that correct?

I really don't get this "marketing" fuss.
I'm pretty sure that Bill would do a video about any upcoming Amiga game. He's a super positive and an enthusiastic guy. |

Mike discussed some plans for the box artwork in the stream, If I recall correctly, he said the goal is to make it authentically represent the kind of awesome box art we had at the peak of the 16-bit era.

Will there be any twist in the story?
Like, at the end of the game, you become bad guy, and these poor lads that fought you, only wanted to save a city from your terror. If it's spoiler, don't answer! Also, any approximate date when the game will be released (half year, year, 2 years... )? Or date when you can announce pretty certainly when it will be released. Please consider adding weapons. For me personally, it is much more important then AI computer friend in 2 players mode (I guess, AI it's much more complicated to add). @Steril707 Mate, from what I see, nobody attacked you. Please continue great work on the Inviyya, as I am also following development on your game, and would really like to see updates on it. I'll be sure to watch stream of your game when it's announced. Cheers. |

I think Final Fight and a couple of others you pressed F1 or something and the game went in NTSC, I personally always preferred NTSC you get a larger Playfield and more FPS.

Don't get me wrong (again?), I'm for this game with hands and legs. But AGA version is what could be killer app. And please remember that my opinion mentioned before was based on "vs AGA" opinions. And it's not that i like only colourful games. And one more thing: Please, don't "force" control to one button! That kind of control killed many games in playability aspects. Leave as is (probably) now - two buttons or keyboard. Last edited by Solo Kazuki; 01 September 2019 at 13:09. |
