Thanks guys, two issues for me. Firstly I am getting the same white screen as many other people are reporting, pages don't load and it crashes. I have an 060@50 with FPU and 148MB RAM so don't imagine it doesn't have enough juice. I am running NetSurf AGA from a secondary CF card, does it need to be on the System drive? I have also tried -v and the nonttf versions, same results.
Also it doesn't support the DBLPAL screenmode. |

@arti and Novacoder
Thanks a lot for the AGA version! It works very well here ![]() Two things though: when I am using use_pubscreen:Workbench, NetSurf still opens on its own screen and NetSurf takes most of the processor time, even when "doing nothing" ![]() Cheers! |

Chris' Netsurf test build works also without FPU. It uses some 11mb ram to start, so it is very useable with 32mb ram.
It has everything wich OS4 version has, tabs, preferences. Works with every amiga with 32mb ram, OS3.5/9. http://www.unsatisfactorysoftware.co...php?pg=netsurf Current biggest problem is memory fragmention so using tlsfmem/tlsfmempool will help. |

This is anyway the first time I can try NetSurf in my miggy with the ACA30/56, so thanks. Edit: I see: it was named "Resources/Theme", not "Resources/Themes" for the images, you should change that. Last edited by Retrofan; 14 March 2016 at 03:49. |

I tried on my A1200 with ACA-1232 (hw details in sig), copied the whole directory structure to RAM: and launched 'NetSurf-AGA-clib2-nojs-nofpu' from there, it works, but extremely slow with interlaced screen mode (couldn't find any way to change that, no prefs?), even the mouse movement lags horribly when the browser is idling which is kind of rare for Amiga programs in general. After visiting two sites when testing it gobbled up roughly 50MB RAM total.
In comparison, iBrowse runs circles around this, many times faster, small memory footprint, it's actually quite usable; you can browse these forums, read gmail (with AmiSSL installed and latest POODLE workaround from 2016), and more. |

NetSurf AGA is not written in asm like IBrowse and was not designed for Amiga.
This version needs at least 060 CPU for usable speed. Better options for less than 060 would be Chris Young NetSurf as utri007 mentioned above. It may less stable though. |

I AGA NetSurf version do not see it so different from the NG version, both versions are still immature they need to improve and are slow in the same way in opening the various sites. WinUAE tested on the AGA version and I see no problems icons toolbar, as I can see and read the forum eab.abime.net, Certainly the NG version has a visual better graphics than the AGA version but this is normal.

Chris version is useable with 040 nad 32mb ram. Rendering amiga.org takes about 35 seconds. 060 17,5 seconds.
It is possible to disable images and turn simple refresh on, wich makes it as fast than 060 is with images. I can't imagine how slow it would be with 030. Everything takes 4x more time compared to 040? That much 030 is weaker than 040. AMIGASYSTEM: What you mean NG version? Netsurf fotr OS4 works just fine and it is fast. http://www.unsatisfactorysoftware.co...php?pg=netsurf |

RTG would be better.
There is a naming problem. |
