action = Left mouse button on the banner
Advertiser pay google to display their ads and to make people come on their websites.

yeah don't press left mouse button with any pattern other than for ads about amiga, computer hardware and stuff that makes sense to be advertised here. Google are shit hot blocking adsense users. I accidentally got my friend blocked by doing it only 3 times in a day on his ads.

Hurray for adverts . . .no wait . . .uh . . .yeah . . . and I found out where to change my location to the place I've been living for 6 years!

To peterK and others, no ads displayed at first with eab.abime.net disabled in adblock, if you block scripts too you need to enable googlesyndication for the ads to show.

RCK: D'ya think it's worth having a meter in the EAB Header that shows how much needed to reach the current month's costs? it might encourage the more wealthy of us to chip in a little extra if we see the meter struggling toward the end of the month

Yes, I kow that.
Googlesyndication is indeed disabled globally on my system. For good reason, since I don't want to see their advertisements ANYWHERE. Unfortunately, I can not define an exception rule just for EAB. And I don't want to be a hypocrite by switching the ads on in my user profile, but then suppressing them with my adblocker. I guess, Google is clever enough to notice when their ads are blocked and then won't pay a single cent to RCK. So, I will stay without this nice supporter sign under my user name until I could make a donation without PayPal.

Update: It's also possible to make a donation via PayPal without having an account. I just donated 10 Euro via PayPal by debit entry.

Opted in. I think we have to show Mrs RCK we value her patience every time we have had to grab RCK's attention over the years. Think of all the shoes or handbags she could have bought but was not able to with the cost over the years.

Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing

Is that a typical French sentence tought in French lessons in English-speaking countries?

Feel free to post screenshots (be sure to remove any sensitive/identifying data before) or copy/paste text from the paypal page if you need a 100% correct translation (not Google translate) from me or other French members.

Exactly along with some contrived removal-men scene: "Voici la tele" "VOYONS!" which sticks in the head too

I didn't need translation fortunately I see paypal's checkout page far too many times a day, just thought it was amusing it decided to come up in French

I'd be nice to display how much was donated on the donation list...

not the amount of donation of each one who donated, but how much RCK already got for his hard work...

I also don't want to tell X member give Y amount of money, because what is important for me is to see that I'm not alone to support this community
The current total is at 220€ now, and 50% of the 18 donation were at 10€, thanks!
