No.
If you want 1:1 image, buy the original cd. "You will never produce a faithful copy of this disc," as prowler said. But it doesnt mean you will never produce 100% copy of the game. You have 1:1 game image, not 1:1 cd image. Its enough to play 100% copy of the game, nothing is missing. |

And again...
Does your image work? Then you have a working version. Maybe you should sign up to an CD imaging forum and ask the guys there... |

You mean 'They don't know that'? You asked before? Have you read their answers carefully?

Here is a good forum, I have pointed to a relevant subforum there:
http://club.cdfreaks.com Copy Protection: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f80/ CD Backup Guides and Tutorials: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f81/ Most likely I would expect most images provide a functional working copy of the game, but virtually all images will not be identical due to the CD hardware unable to copy all of the CD contents (e.g. some is before the normal CD writing data area, some readers can do better than others, CD-Rs cannot replicate all pressed CD contents etc), the CD software not setup by copier to do so, or because the person who made the image only cares that it works and is not identical. Subchannel data is used by some games for copy protection, other times used for CD+G Karaoke CD data, many times not used at all, who knows what other uses. But if game works it doesn't need subchannel data then. Also if you really want exact audio data tracks, if it is in WAV format, I doubt the person extracting the WAV file used Exact Audio Copy program and adjusted the software for their drive for correct start offset etc so you may lose first milliseconds of sound. Would suggest to ask your replicating questions to the forum I linked to as it is probably beyond the specialist knowledge of all but a very few members on eab. Browse that forum and you should be able to then work out the best tools for the job (reading CDs, writing CDs, converting images in different formats) |

If this is a psx game, as i understand it is, then those errors are supposed to be there, go check "ANY" psx forum on backups, hell go check http://redump.org or snesorama, bad tracks is not a new form of copyprotection u know, if your backup works on modded psx and emulator aswell, that means someone did the job for u and they did it good enough to preserve that pacticullar game in your collection. If u wish u can crosscheck your checksum with the one from the redump dat list, but it's hardly worth the hassle, coz if your copy isn't dumped according to redumps guidelines, assuming it got cdda audio tracks, it's too much work to even bother.
Bottom line, if your dump works 100% for u, let it rest and be happy or grab the original if u can find it Enjoy the summer m8 |

Wow, i never knew that site even existed. It looks to be the sps of CDs.
There are some CD32/CDTV/AmigaCD games there but not that many dumped. Mostly from TheBoss. I take it they actually keep the dumps as well? |
