March Quiz - Clues #1
Many participants have felt an awakening of old childhood and youth memories, lots of pictures seem familiar somehow... that's how it's supposed to go. The "DOS classics" are one of the riddles where the name "retrogamequiz" is really fitting. 33 people already joined, and now it's time for some clues! Clues #1: 1) There are nine graphics adventures in this round (almost all of them point&click). 2) The games #2, #5 and #15 are first person shooters (but number five also packs some additional genres). 3) Title #3 is the first of a trilogy, and it was ported to all kinds of systems from Game Boy Color to Atari Jaguar. 4) With #12 we have a western RPG that plays in Europe during the late middle ages. Deadline is Wednesday the 31st of March, please participate via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/ Here is the quiz again, good luck: https://i.imgur.com/VD0Fu6c.png |

Let's discuss what's an RPG and whats an adventure afterwards, I agree sometimes it can be a question of interpretation... but I'm quite confident with my "nine adventures", let's see!

Clues were no help sadly although I learnt that #3 is part of a trilogy - never knew but I suppose that's because I was never a DOS gamer?

Later we can discuss if releasing a "sequel" decades after the fact by a whole different company and team of people can be considered part of a series or just a remake which is number labelled to ride a nostalgia wave

The clues haven't opened up any more answers for me either. I am fairing significantly better than the last round.
I'll keep my thoughts on the "trilogy" to myself until after the results are in. |

Must have that one correct then.
But to be fair, sequels often happen through a different team - Tomb Raider is a good example and I think in this instance it reinvigorated a flagging series. |

As for "Have you ever played an Arcade machine/game" I'm old enough to remember the Electro-Mechanical games like Periscope |
