Cool! You will be the first PPC user to comment anything about FullWin if it works etc. ?

Benchmark here is about the same using 800x600 screenmode, however how smooth the game runs depends also on settings in wipeout menu. Between triple buffering, fps setting & Bvision sgram speed settings did show improvement in smoothest and added just a little to fps.
Blizzard PPC 350Mhz, there was no difference when card was clocked @374Mhz |

I always use in Wipeout 2097 640x480, max 60fps, max texture cache and AHI-sound ticked. So have you tested speed differences between SCREEN and WINDOW modes with FullWin? Please add more info and some numbers about fps please. |

UPDATE - advice added:
Screenmodes are advised to create by user itself (instructions in post #1), because the "screenmode.prefs" info differs 99% for every user usually with RTG-screenmodes. Also tidied up 1st post because it was originally written kinda badly because excitement . Last edited by Bamiga2002; 25 January 2013 at 09:39. |

Delshay has been touting his uber PPC and BVision for years now.
He has shown very very little of it. I decided long ago to ignore him until he proves his claims. |

In Heretic II script you can also use a simple assign for CD 2 if you don't want to use the disc-image mounting command line. So comment the first 2 lines of Heretic II script and replace with:
Code:
Assign >NIL: Heretic_IIB: "" |

Ok I have made some tests :
PCI libs : 10 PPC libs : 16.1 Quake demo 1 Normal mode : 26 Quake demo 1 Normal windowed mode : 29.2 Quake demo 1 FW : 33.8 Great improvement !! However I still see the pointer, window borders and a graphic problem between the weapon/health/armor bar and my gun : a colour line of about 1 cm from the right to the left border Can you give me your bitzquakewos exe ? Maybe there is a problem there. Wipeout : difficult to say as FPS always move from 10 to 35 depending on the maps and location inside maps but the average most of time : Wipeout normal mode : 14 fps Wipeout windowed normal mode : 15 fps Wipeout FW : 17fps It is a nice boost for this game as now every maps are very playable I will test Quake 2 tomorrow, it is the last game I have that is in your list. Good job mate ! Thanks for sharing ! EDIT : Ok found for quake, juste need to quit Amidock and I gain some FPS : 34.2 Last edited by CrashMidnick; 30 January 2013 at 00:56. |

Yes it solves all the problems except the graphic bar glitch on quake (about half a cm now, but does not really matter). On quake your patch is really nice mate.
Could you please upload a video ASAP of wipeout showing FPS on the first track ? I would like to see how it behave on your system. Last edited by CrashMidnick; 30 January 2013 at 12:38. |

That's the exact same spec as mine (Stachu magic? ). I'm uploading the Wipeout video now. The game's a little speedier using "cockpit" view than the outside view, but more playable with outside view.

You have really better framerate on this game compared to me... I wonder why as the other results on the other games are quite the same. I would say that you have 3fps more.
