Buddy you are the most patient man on the planet!! Seriously, you seem to be dedicating a huge amount of time and effort to these amazing ports and I'm just gobsmacked by the amount of nay-sayers, detractors and feckless posts such as the above that keep popping up.

we are.
EDIT: i think its more a case of theres less peaple with the horsepower to play them (060 based machines) than less interest.if it was seen as a graph you would be near the top like a piramid, and only have win uae and ppc at the very top.(i think thats a good analogy) Last edited by roy bates; 17 February 2013 at 12:53. |

Thanks guys.
Yes part of the problem is that most of the remaining 'power' users (and let's face it there aren't that many left) have upgraded to PPC and/or accelerated graphics. |

I'm also interested
Why your games are so slow with 040? My desktop A1200 has a 040 40mhz and usually games / progs are equal per 1mhz with 060? Only difference with speed is that 040 has a 10-26mhz less. I get 12fps with 040 and 16fps with 060 |

Nova, I do miss my 060!
The 1230 is great, but limited. The x1000 is awesome. Maybe you should have a word with Trevor Dickinson about a loan of a developer OS4 machine? He is in NZ and has some right now. |

It's probably because I target 060, most people don't bother.

have you still got the 030 card nova.
i dont think its because they dont bother, its just they havent got one. alot more peaple have 030 than 040 than 060 etc. from what i remember(feel free to correct me)you had a 030 card then an 040 card ugraded to 060 then more memory. how many peaple have 030 cards, probably lots. |

I sold my 030 ages ago, only have an 060 now.
I might do an 030 release for a new port in the future but it's a bit of a pain to code for hardware that I don't actually own. |

it wasent a criticism in any way,its just the user base is probably alot larger.
you do whatever you feel you need to do,theres no pressure to do loads of peices of software for everyone, peaple are for the most part just gratefull there getting new software. as long as you feel your acomplishing what you set out to do.. |

Finally got the sound working acceptably, I've been having some very strange issues with this port recently that have wasted lots of time. Took me ages to get the sound working well, I tried to get it working with Paula but I think I'm going to just go with this 16bit stereo AHI setup now as the Paula approach was a bit hacky.
Anyway, back in the game Also managed to get myself a nice video camera (GoPro) so that should help with the next YouTube clip. |
