Since the weather is pretty bad today, I was working on the A1200 again and it came across my mind to ask if there is anything new about the Solas board...

I have a few more beta boards about to go out to people on the waiting list, then I'll be doing a run of boards (assuming no last-minute issues appear). So it's getting close

I'm really looking forward to the Solas.
I'm primarily interested in trying to get one running on my TF360 setup, failing that have an A1200 on standby. |

4? I'll stick you on the list
Annoyingly, I've come across an issue where a new batch of the exact same part on the latest boards has messed up the fan speed control circuit. Admittedly it's an unconventional way of using this transistor, but I'll need to figure out a more robust method before I can order a batch of boards. Getting there though, and thanks for the patience! |

I need this in my life immediately! I’ll buy one the instant it’s put up for sale I fell in love with it when I saw it in AmigaBill’s A1200

Not yet The last (hopefully) batch of beta boards are with users now, if they don't show any major issues I'll have a batch made this summer.

I hope you mean northern hemisphere summer. Waiting half a year for summer to arrive for something so amazing is incredibly cruel

Well this Amigaland. So folks should be used to waiting! Waited in line 6 months for my A4K TX & AA3000+, waited 6 months for my ZZ9K, waited 6 months for my ReA3000 and 2000EATX, waited 2-3 years for my Spectrum Next. Retro computing requires patience I have learned.

Yeah, it used to be ok to wait, but after some more time of too much waiting one can only hope that retrocomputers still work in the afterlife. Time flies.
