Alas my cutting a straight line is not as good as it could be but it was the hand filing that made it worse also with the slot going through the angled part of the case on the right, things look worse than they are. Either way it can be tidied but in reality most folk are not going to be looking there, a big plus is that it is fully functioning which saves a lot of time when trying different workbench ideas as you don't need to keep opening up the case.

I suppose I could always buy another case till it came out 100% but it works and I don't mind a bit of roughness as long as it doesn't interfere with the case closing properly or gets in the way of any of the fixing screws etc

Going off the picture you looked at, I would maybe offset the CF card to the left a little if I ever did this again (to miss the slope in the case) but otherwise that site or the one above the TV modulator area, are probably the best places for the mod.

How much have you sold the Apollo ? Do you have another one on your A600 ?
The Apollo is not essential ?

Hi Mate,

The Apollo 630 was an expensive luxury (68030+FPU+MMU and 32mb Fast Ram) Very nice addon but a little OTT in an A600 if I'm honest.

In the end I sold it for £350

Theres also Stedy's 020 project I'll be watching very carefully as this would be a superb upgrade for an A600

I like to drop back to 68k + 1.3 Rom for my old floppy's and I couldn't do that with the 030.

Steve.

OTT stand for ?

Ah and you can't rekick with the Apollo (whd games aren't working ?)
Of course I like the 1.3 compatibility too, this is why I have the Auto-Switch on the A600.

I'm going to watch this thread too

Sorry, OTT = Over the top!

The Apollo didn't run with 1.3 Rom for some reason and there was no Jumper to disable the 030.

I also have 1.3/3.1 Rom switch, of course with the 030 is was possible to play all the games in WHDLoad but I have my A1200 for that

It was an awesome bit of kit, and I can say that I have owned one, like running OS3.9 on an A600 that was really cool to try. But for the same money I could get an 060 for my Tower

Have enjoyed following your project Gibs, lookin' forward to see where it goes from here.

Steve.
