Yea. You can use any adapter you want. Read his release notes. Jeff has just written a program that does the flashing (it requires internet access). It flashes the boot-loader. The rest of the firmware is put on the usb key. Unlike flashing the gotek with Herves firmware you don't use the STMicroelectonics Flash loader software. |

I'm pleased to see HFE/ADF firmware combined.. I dont want to have to convert ADF to HFE. But I am also interested in ST use so am looking for HFE/ST/(ADF) firmware? Soon?
I have to say the website is awful to try to find stuff. Very confusing!!! Hope the s/ware works better than the website!! |

Is extended adf file format supported in latest firmware?
In Cannon Fodder game, which uses custom save disk, I can format save disk but the game cannot read/recognize the formatted save disk. I also tried Cannon Fodder saved game disk from TOSEC archive but it failed as well. Please help? |

From what I understand is:
Contact Jeff for a server account Pay 10 euros Hook up the Gotek for flashing as before Insert the USB stick with the firmware on it Use the flashing software from Jeff It connects to Jeffs server and flashes the Gotek I wonder if you have to pay 10 euro for each Gotek, or is it a one time payment? |

Anyway for custom tracks support you need to use the HFE format. ADF format can't support custom track encoding. And try to use the latest firmware version too. Last edited by Jeff_HxC2001; 17 May 2015 at 00:49. |

http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/ All the needed stuff is at the "USB Stick STM32 HxC Floppy Emulator (beta)" section, at the end of the page. |

Seems to work perfectly. What i have done : Copy the ADF files of the game the disk Create an blank HFE file to the disk for the save disk. Start the game Select the Savedisk (HFE) image and format it with the game. Try to save the game and reload it. So the custom/non AmigaDos track support is working well with the HFE format. The comments about the process are also valid (IMHO). I know Kevin Mount (Mounty) is doing a video guide which will help. For the Gotek with Herv's FW I liked "Mark Fixes Stuff" guide on YouTube. These things should be easy to understand unless you want to restrict the market |

If you can't download one executable, connect the gotek and enter a login/password, i recommend you other solution/way : Got one already flashed, amigastore have some, Mounty too. You can also get the normal HxC at the Lotharek website. Otherwise, all the needed stuff is there : http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_d....html#stm32hxc Last edited by Jeff_HxC2001; 17 May 2015 at 14:29. |

I've just updated my Gotek and I must say its awesome! I had almost given up with it as it was so flakey and needed to be reprogrammed all the time as it kept corrupting. The HxC software is fantastic Thanks Jeff!

Hi Jeff,
I saw your HxC hardware years ago and was really impressed. Now I saw this new Gotek firmware and I'm really impressed, again! Just a pair of things I don't understand/know: - is there a way to convert a .ipf file to .hfe format? - does the .hfe format support variable density, weak bits and other complex protections? - are there some limitations? If so, which ones? |

I have to say that I'm very impressed by the quality of the firmware you did...
but I have a question, why different firmwares for different formats (.ADF, .ST, .DSK?)? doesn't the STM32 have power and room enough for all them just in one firmware? I know it's easy to change between firmware versions, but I would prefer to have a more universal "quick test unit"... |

I just get my USB flash adapter from Kevin Mount.
Does the HxC firmware also auto sort the files by name? For example: I put the file Superman.adf on the USB stick and after that I put Superfrog.adf. Will it be first Superfrog and then Superman? |
