I may be starting another dungeon project. Would be easier than the two others.
But is there some demand for it ? |

There is here! Although I haven't played DM for a while. It always happens: I play a game too long, and I get fed up with it, and have to leave it alone for a while. I actually haven't played anything seriously for over a month now. When I do pickup DM again, it's going to be your current two dungeons, though, so as far as I'm concerned there's no rush.

Please can you use RTC for it, as the csb one doesn't render nicely on screen. If you could do something like the original dungeon master, that would be superb. I began playing Conflux3, but since it's on CSB, i loosed interest (rendering is bad, very bad, and every item on the main window appears blue, like the atari st version) |

However i have to deceive you : i simply can't do anything on RTC. And this, for several reasons : RTC is closed source (i think) and it only runs on PC. On the other hand you can use my custom program, take a grab of it, and redraw things on top of it to make it look better than the blue. Then give the result to me, perhaps i can change a few things if i get better graphics. |

I don't remember exactly, and levels don't have the same size. It's a lot smaller than the main one, i'd say around 10.
But "less difficult" still doesn't mean "easy", so watch out |

Thx, i'll give it a go.
If it turns out to be a great dungeon, then maybe an official walkthrought could be written for it, so that more people jump and play it. |

One question Meynaf please;
Could this dungeon be ported to DM pc version?, or RTC? If not, no problem, i'll fire up WinUae. |

... at least in my taste Quote:
So you'll have to fire up an uae (see my readme for specific things to care, f.e. numeric pad). |

Well, if you can find an Amiga version of RTC, maybe i will
Anyway the Theron's quest dungeons have been converted to the regular format and are available at dmweb.free.fr. So i can play them and i can say they're very easy (even though i played only the first one so far). |

Haven't been playing for quite some time now, because I've been playing some peecee games, and have recently bought another (Warcraft 3+expansion).
Sooner or later I always return to Dungeon Master, and I'll probably pickup your nightmare dungeon again, which I must say I've enjoyed more than your less difficult one (although I haven't played that one that much). |

Note that i have 5 unfinished dungeon projects and i'm looking for more ideas. Also i've gone a little deeper in DM2 dungeon stuff and apart the dungeon format which is similar, many things are just incompatible... |

One question: Before I continue with your nightmare dungeon (will happen sooner or later), is it even possible to solo the dungeon to the end? Quote:

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that your Dungeon Master port works very nicely with mode promotion (finally have a VGA adapter, no more crappy quality ), although it would be nice to have a screen mode selection mechanism (same for your image viewer). Perhaps it would be easy to do with the screen mode ID (may be a pain to obtain)? |

Anyway, it was NOT planned to be done like that Another dungeon i've started is to be soloed for at least a part (you recruit the others as you find them) but it only contains a few levels for now. Quote:

New version uploaded ! There are some quite big changes in the code. I hope i've broken nothing, but please use the new versions of the dungeons with this new code (or some puzzles won't work).
Main dungeon has a newly completed level, which was previously just a corridor (it's an area you will never reach anyway ). Second dungeon has only minor changes. Third dun... errhhh... yes, there is something new. I'll let you discover what's there exactly |

EDIT: I think I'm going to start your nightmare dungeon over. You can start solo, and clear the way to the food and water area, while trying to kill the least amount of monsters you can manage. Then just go back to the hall of champions, get more characters, and start training them there. Simple Saves you the pain of recruiting a full party from the start, and it gives you a food and water advantage. It also means you start out stronger, because of the EXP from the hall of champions monsters... and you get better initial gear Last edited by Thorham; 27 December 2010 at 00:34. |
