Have got a few of Thunders symmods that I converted to CD back in the year 2000, all trance, excellent and quite long, one of them being 16mins in length.

For those that dont know what a symmod is, its a mod done on an Amiga tracker called Symphonie Pro, a tracker thats capable of upto 256 channels, the tunes I have are 32 channel I think, gonna have to search for them now.
Might have to upload a couple of them Mihcael, what ya think?

The symods are included in the archive above (7 of them) there will be a bunch more mods that you may not of seen also!!

Upload to modp3, my sample text script won't know how to read these (aka i have no idea how), and how will you record? Other then that should be fine!!

(and it goes against our moto!!)

Hey, thanks for those, there was about half a dozen I havn't heard

Playing and recording the symmods wont be a problem but your text script thingy I have NFI, bit dumb with that stuff

Will be uploading some tunes in next couple of days hopefully, I feel we've gone a bit techno happy of late, time for a change up me thinks.

@CyberDruid,Frog and anyone else
What do yas think of a mp3/mod artist/group compilation of roughly CD size, you think its worth it or down the shitter?

Such compilations would be cool Maybe the size should be smaller though (depending on how much the group artist did).

By compilation, i assume he means Audio CD compilation, so theres no point making it smaller??

I think if you get in there and mix a few tracks together it would go down!! I would imagine Ravebusters and Thunder at the top of this list??

Okay, I thought because he talked about MP3/MOD that it would be a data CD Does pigsticker really mean a full Audio CD? That would be a bit limited I think (74 min only).

You already have the data CD, just with additions!!

74 minutes isn't enough, better make it 80! and a double CD too!!! Pigsticker??

personnaly, i'm not interested. Generally i prefer listening to MP3 instead of an audio CD.
Therefore, i'm not sure we all love the same kind of music.

I tend to agree, CD's only get scratched and lost!!

but my dad recently commented that he liked all that OLD music i used to play, so i will be putting a CD together for him from the Modp3 Mp3 collection!

@Frog,CyberDruid

Sorry guys, lets clear this up a little
What I meant was MP3 compilations of artists,group,genre or my favourites or a game music compilation of roughly 74-80mins (CD Size)(100-110meg) and maybe double cd aswell if needed. A mod compilation will also be uploaded.

I still think theres plenty of peeps that the only mp3 player they have is on their computer, so by making these ready made compilations, peeps can convert them to cd easily if they want or just have the mp3s as they are.

Some compilations I would like to do soon is Last Ninja 2 (C64 SiD version) will probably be the only sid tunes to be uploaded on site as it was the game to get me into computers in the first place. Thinkin of doin LN2 in stereo with crossover, will sound slightly different to the norm out there as every other versions I've heard are done in mono.
Other games I would like to do is Turrican series (Amiga).

wow, great site. I appreciate you spend the time to comment the tunes individually. Now if there was something like an online streaming utility it would be the ultimate amiga mod site. I'm too lazy to download and listen to them

Thanks!

Streaming is planned!

In the meantime you can use open URL in you music player, use the download link! eg http://modp3.mikendezign.com/download.php?mp3id=114, plays a nice ginseng tune!!!

An mp3 playlist would be the next best thing!

The problem with I-tunes appears to have been fixed, so anybody who may have tried it, but couldn't of been assed commenting can now try again!!
