Just to say it run fully (intro, music, options screen, texts, game) for me with Wazp3D in software mode "Soft to bitmap"
(Aminet: StormMesa2010, Wazp3D ) in "hard" mode or "hard overlay" it is slower though = cause still unknown |

I managed to run the game in Voodoo 3 mode using the Warp3D drivers for Mediator and StormMesa2010.
The game only works if I set a Workbench screen to 16bit color depth and run the executable with the same settings. For example, if I set the screenmode to 800 x 600 @16bit, I launch the executable: > wipegame-v3 -fullscreen 800 600 The game runs around 60fps but the colors are very dimmed. I don't know if it's due to the 16bit limit. |

however, quarktex version is the best. run very well and never mind if it is in window. Also Wapz3D is loaded very well, little slow, but overall good.

i used to play in window every game in emulation. Never tried a game in fullscreen. For Amiga especially, play a game in window over the workbench is too cool.

Where are the blue engine trails? I remember these being a PITA back when working on the Permedia2 driver.

Of course is nice to see Wipeout for Amiga using 3D accelaration, but the first Wipeout for DOS seems in low resolution even if also on dosbox at maximun speed there is some slowdown. Maybe it could run on Amiga without gpu.

In Voodoo mode it is much faster, too bad the black background and the 16bit make it less beautiful!

I've got WipEout working with MiniGL and colors are good on VooDoo3 but it's unstable, probably because of gcc6.
EDIT: Similar issues with gcc4, so MiniGL thing. Last edited by arti; 07 January 2024 at 21:10. |

I got it working but got some odd results with my joypad, it does accelerate but doesn't turn left nor right. I also got virtual keyboard to suddenly appear, never had seen it before. I started from a fresh install, the only thing lacking is ahi.

You need to setup joypad controls in menu options.

I have Wipeout 2097 but could never get it to work on any setup. Would be great if someone can send me a working UAE config for that game. I have p96 etc.

I played WipeOut2097 only on my A1200PPC, never tested under WinUAE in PowerPC emulation + Wazp3D.
But WipeOut 68k from Arti works well, please follow the instructions in this topic, it's simple using QuarkTex and Stormmesa libs, but it's how the game runs in Windows because QuarkTex use the video board through OpenGL. If you want you can play it directly in your browser: https://phoboslab.org/wipegame/ |

So far it works well (but quite slow) on my CM4 overclocked to 2200 MIPS. Thanks for the updated version! |
