Try to compress everything (with the correct tools). Loading a large uncompressed file is sometimes MUCH slower than loading a small compressed file including decompression (depends on how your HD is connected and what speed the CPU is that does the decompression).
What did you change btw? |

Use the ScummVM Tools on Windows(for instance) to recompress the audio. I think I posted in this thread somewhere about my attempts at doing this. The movie files for some games also can be recompressed possibly to something better supported by this version. |

Hi all.
Any idea where WarpSCUMM v2.1 is available while the EAB FTP server is offline? Thanks in advance. |

I have now finished Broken Sword 1 and 2 without any problems.
Question: Have anyone managed to get Broken Sword 2.5 working? Larry 7 works but very slow Last edited by anotherlife; 28 June 2020 at 15:05. |

Google says a lot of broken broken swords 2.5 out there....Regarding LSL7, is it possible to compress assets?
I'm also looking at to compile 2.2 one of these days. Now that I have to wait for my Firestorm and have a possible working gcc 8.3.0 that I need to test. |

2.2 is a bit weird in that make hangs like 90% of the time.
I recompiled 2.1 with gcc 8.3.0 with no problems and the themes now seem to load correctly. I'm still trying to get 2.2 to compile and will post either 2.1 or 2.2 somewhere this week. |

Was to be expected. Don't see it on my system, but I am guessing you have a csppc? What exactly is slower? How much?
Differences are: Compiled with gcc 8.3 with same version libgcc and stdc++ instead of 6.4/4.4/5.5 hybrid. Newlib 3.2 instead of 3.1 Those are the biggest changes. I compiled with camd. Not sure if it works. |

Well! The program itself is slower when you add games and the mous pointer is slow.
Tried Broken Sword witch works fine with 2.1 but I get sound issues with this. No I'm using Bppc 240mhz, scsi 7,5mb/s |

Sadly, I cannot reproduce this. Mouse pointer is normal, adding games is normal.

If CAMD is working you could pipe the midi sound off to something that sounds nice that shouldn't put much demand on your CPU(s). This does not apply to Broken Sword, unless it does. |

Experimental ScummVM 2.2 build for WarpOS. The file is in ELF format (and not hunk) due to the 32MB size restriction of elf2exe2. You need to have ppclibemu from Frank Wille running (ppc.library with loadseg patch) next to powerpc.library.
Not tested on BPPC/CSPPC. Compiled with mos2wos 1.4 (see Aminet). ELF startup is a bit slower than elf2exe2 hunk startup. The sources for 2.2 are twice as big as for 2.1. http://eab.abime.net/zone/ScummVM220_WOSELF.lha |

wow. I wasn't aware of this. I thought the latest version was 0.2.0 from https://www.onyxsoft.se/warpscumm.html
I'll try right away on A4000T with CVisionPPC. |

I just tried Full Throttle with 2.1.2. It is running
![]() For some reason when mouse cursor is moving on the top and left borders, it starts to skip frames. Also when you are fighting the first guy on the bike, I could not move or hit. |
